Minimum Requirements for CURRENT hosts.
Okay so I'm sure many of you are aware that their are LOTS of inactive UHC hosts which leaves the UHC staff team lacking, I have a suggestion that each host should host a minimum amount of games each (3/4 games per week) and if they are unable to do this then they should be demoted until able to.

Why this harsh?.

Well as you are well aware the potionpvp staff (and other staff excluding UHC Hosts) work a LOT harder then UHC hosts which is why Badlion PotionPvP is such a great server as the staff are always ACTIVE and engaging within the community. So i believe that UHC hosts should also be this active. Hosting a certain amount of games each per host would be a great way to increase the activity upon the UHC staff team.

I'm aware that their will often be excuses for each host from time to time and I think this should be totally acceptable but with a limit, as I am a very regular UHC player (EU) and always see the same 5-6 people hosting the games yet their are currently 35+ uhc staff members?

We already have this.

I do agree with this statement. But we do have a current policy of minimal games that have to be hosted. Remember that once the summer starts most if not all hosts will be close to be 100% active.

Besides that we are trying as a group to put more effort into UHC with roundtable meetings every week and evaluations on hosts to see what they need to work on. Just to name a few things for examples.

Being a part of the UHC staff team is very different in terms of Pot PvP Staff team, with UHC you are a HOST, you sit down and well host a game for roughly 2 hours, kit pvp isn't like that, we have a minimum requirement for hosts but this is a voluntary thing for our hosts here and we are not going to be forcing our hosts to burn themselves out and host 3 a day at MINIMUM.

People take breaks at different times, this idea of yours might have sprung due to the lack of games recently, this 'issue' is due to Examinations approaching and Mock Examinations taking place, which the hosts here who have these will most certainly prioritise RL over Badlion.
And just to clarify, it may seem like the PotPvP staff work harder than the UHC staff from your perspective but I can assure you that this is not at all true.

I did not mean 3 a day lol that would be ridiculous, I ment 3/4 a fortnight/week

going to disagree with you on that one. Most of the uhc hosts work extremely hard to keep the server going, and imo more work is put into making sure a game is put together correctly rather than an hour or so of moderating potion. My two cents anyway

I will never force my hosts to host. They are doing it because they want to, and that will never change. There is currently a minimum but that quantity is not public information.

We continue to hire new hosts, and invite more people to apply, but ultimately uhc hosting takes a bit more maturity and professionalism then kitpvp. A host is directly interacting with the game, answering questions, and needs to be attentive for the whole duration of the match. I'd rather continue to host high quality games, with high quality hosts, over hosting a bunch of games where people can cheat, and not get their questions answered. Most people get burnt out of hosting (eyy I made a pun) if they host too many times a day. I can name various examples of people who have done this, then stopped hosting. It's both stressful, and I often question why people even want to host. I believe that each moderator/host works equally hard, and puts in the same quantity of effort. I do actively remove inactive hosts and trainees, but I still believe that I shouldn't force anyone to host. I do appreciate the few staff members who go above in beyond, but that is the same to be said in kitpvp.
