In my opinion, there should be certain games hosted at all times for EU players, and hosts should Register there name for that game, this goes well with the minimum amount of games that should be hosted, which I think should be atleast 2/3 a week, instead of the 2 per 2 weeks that is going on now. I say this all, because I feel like there is either a lack of EU games, or there are EU games added half an hour before it starts, which will cause people to miss out on games.Basically what I am saying (a more detailed version of what Ofir_ said in another post):
There should be standard game times, say 2pm 4pm 6pm 8pm 10pm and if there is NOT a host for it, put N/A behind it, meaning that there is a chance of that game not happening, also, hosts should REGISTER their names for the certain game they want to host, which goes well with my 5 times per 2 week UHC hosting idea.

The current calendar we have I think is more then ideal. Go back three months and we were barely hosting more then six-seven games a day. For the entirety of this month there are over ten games a day http://gyazo.com/cccc2ac47b426efdef1ca87cc98d6b30 .In economics there is the basis of supply and demand. Demand goes up the requirement of supply goes up. I think currently we've reached a good equilibrium between the supply, and not making people get tired of uhc (by continuing to update and add gamemodes, and improve hosts, etc), and the current demand of games.
I don't think it's fair for me to force people who just want to help to do anything. You have to remember that everyone on badlion is unpayed and we do this as volunteer work because we want to help the server, and make the playerbase happy. There is a maximum extent of this becoming a chore, and it becoming a destressor that a host can just do on a weekly basis, and I really don't want this to become a chore for any of my hosts.

As players, you just see the games that already have a host that will for sure happen. It would really suck to have people think there are going to be games but then they get cancelled last minute because there are no hosts available. I suggest you refresh the schedule often as sometimes there are hosts picking up games as late as 30-60 minutes before the game just because of how committed they are to have games on Badlion, no matter how busy they are IRL.

I have an idea which is that we spawn with our normal 10 hearts but we have health boost 5 so we have 10 red hearts 10 empty hearts i think that it would add a little twist to the game because it would add some longer more intense battles and make people want to go to the nether because instant health potions would have more use but obviously it wouldnt be good every game just once in a while it could be called the smart gamemodePosted on 14 May 2015 - 05:46 PM
