Roll up, Roll up Ladies and Gentleblocks, it's time to for the release of Discovery Work's latest project, a brand new Survival games map by the name of Elysia.
The map is set in a fairy-like landscape, with large trees and fantasy mushrooms.
Elysia was designed with PVP in mind, with very gradual terraforming and tall trees, yet still full enough to immerse you in your PVP experience.
As for submission to servers goes, our team was divided as to which server we were to submit this map to. So, as a team we have decided we are not submitting it to any one specific server. That means that if you want this map onto MCG you need to vote for us to decide where to submit it.
After reviewing the votes, we have decided to put the map onto Badlion. Rejoice! It should be on the server sometime soon. *fingers crossed*

This map looks pretty neat! Very original even though reminiscent of enchanted forest.Posted on 10 May 2015 - 02:29 AM
Their is a lot of terrain in this map, should expect it to be a little difficult finding players.Posted on 10 May 2015 - 05:16 AM

Yes, there is a decent amount of terrain. However, the terrain we made is extremely smooth with no ditches, etc for players to hide in. There is one forest area but it is decently lit with the rest being very open to find players.

Amazing map, well done and created. Very unique choice of biomes. I would love to see the become a badlion-only map that gets overplayed xD+1

Love it, although if this is for SG, I would remove just a bit of trees on it.Great work though!

This. So much. When we as a team were deciding where to submit, I was the one rooting for Badlion for this exact reason.

The trees we have in the map are very tall and stay out of your way in PVP; honestly, most of the trees are outside the map border anyways. They're placed to make the map more immersive. In the aerial picture (last one), the upper forest is actually quite thin, while the lower forest was made intentionally thicker so we could add hidden elements into the map.Posted on 11 May 2015 - 02:42 PM
The builders of the map are very talented. Good job!Posted on 11 May 2015 - 09:15 PM
I think this is going to be a perfect map addition to Badlion SG, it kinda reminds me about Wyverns Wake. :) o and btw is there like a map download or something?Posted on 11 May 2015 - 10:15 PM
Map download is not available right now as we are currently deciding which server to formally submit this to (that's why you should vote at the link provided!). Wronsiski, one of the team's founders, was the creator of Wyvern's Wake, so it's cool that you recognize the similarity!Posted on 14 May 2015 - 04:13 AM
Thanks everyone for the positive response! Voting has officially ended, so hang tight while we reflect on the voting results and decide where the map will be posted. Thanks!Posted on 14 May 2015 - 09:38 PM
WastefulBean cannot post anywhere besides for the appeal section as he is currently banned.Posted on 15 May 2015 - 02:54 AM
looks good, but I would like to see a little less forest :)Posted on 15 May 2015 - 04:54 AM

Forest on SG maps is honestly less of an issue than people think. A perfect example is Holiday Resort; it's filled with forests AND has lots of waters yet it is still a regularly played map. Why? Beats me, but my best guess is just OP tiering.
