http://gyazo.com/3bd55a5d853b6325edd7215541492547This only happens on badlion i lag out every other match if not more for 10 or more seconds sometimes unlag and die. Most of the time i completely lag out and get this message hopefully this can be fixed considering i payed 20$ for premium and can't play the server.

Hmm, I wonder if the recent "lag" is people using 1.7.5 and newer minecraft versions when we are using 1.7.4 on our servers still…we are upgrading to 1.7.9 in the next few days…might fix the problems people are having.Posted on 20 April 2014 - 05:52 AM
Nope i changed to 1.7.4 and 1.7.2 still happening. You should check if my connection is firewalled or something because its not actual lag its just freezing on badlion only for 10 seconds every match. Getting really annoyingPosted on 20 April 2014 - 05:56 AM

If you were firewalled the website/server wouldn't even exist to your computer.

Just please fix my connection i am still lagging out every single fight come look if you want too.Posted on 20 April 2014 - 06:57 AM
If you are using Windows go to a command prompt and type the following in it: "tracert mc.badlion.net" Feel free to screenshot or copy and paste the results and email them to mastergberry [at] badlion [dot] net so I can further analyze what is going on between your computer and our servers.Posted on 20 April 2014 - 08:22 AM
Not seeing anything too unusual at the moment from what you sent me. Next time you hare HEAVILY lagging go ahead and do another tracert and send me the results again.Posted on 20 April 2014 - 09:56 AM
You dont understand its not lagging heavily i just completely freeze for like 10 seconds unlag and im dead. It's only on your server thoughPosted on 20 April 2014 - 10:28 AM
Have you tried downgrading back to 1.7.4? See if this resolves the issue. Its also depending on what route your computer takes to get to the server versus playing on other servers which a different route might take. I have had no issues and I live in Southern California.Posted on 20 April 2014 - 11:24 AM
Are you like not able to play at all? Ever? Or is it only every now and then?I am going to sleep now, I'll read your response in the morning. Have patience, we will get this resolved.
EDIT: Check your email

Im still lagging out please help, I don't see how it can be my isp when it only happens on badlion. O_o?Posted on 28 April 2014 - 12:16 PM
i have this issue to,but it only happens once in a while to me,i always have the "ping -t mc.badlion.net" window open, and when i completely freez or get java errors,i take a look at it and my ping is constant and always getting responses O_OPosted on 28 April 2014 - 02:10 PM
I witnessed this first hand when fighting Hellion. He seemed to have no lag the entire fight then bam he randomly froze. Not proud to admit it but at that moment I ended his life :(Posted on 28 April 2014 - 05:54 PM
Are you sure this is just badlion? Anyway, Gberry is doing the best he can do. Be patient. I've had 4 weeks of potlag and we're trying to fix that too.Posted on 28 April 2014 - 08:57 PM
I KNOW THE SOLUTION. This happens to me when im on a vpn for more than an hour connected to badlion. Idky. Just take off the proxy/vpn and you'll be good. If you aren't using a vpn then idk ;pPosted on 28 April 2014 - 11:45 PM

Well this is definitely a factor. We do NOT encourage VPN's of any sort. They add ping and make the gameplay less smooth.
Fast internet lesson

This is an example of a bunch of "points of presence" creating a map from different major points to each other. This is just one of the many of hundreds or thousands of these types of points/networks that exist. The internet is compromised of all of these and uses massive routing tables to figure out how to get from LA to NYC for instance by going along points (also known as hops).
Your connection to Badlion might from A -> B -> C -> D -> E -> F while to go to oc.tc it might be A -> B -> G -> H
Needless to say there are a lot of points of failure and one bad node will cause problems if the system keeps trying to route your traffic through that.
On a side note if you are using a VPN that is 100% on you and we don't support it at all.
