What I'd Like to See in Future Tournaments
As a fair amount of you might agree, being semi-serious Minecraft PeeVeePee-ers, Minecraft has a decent amount of potential to be harnessed for competitive gaming. However, this isn't a debate thread on Minecraft's potential as an E-Sport, so let me get to my main point. What I'm here to propose is, in the meantime, if we could see if it is possible to address one of the main reasons Minecraft PVP isn't a more popular thing: it being a pretty horrible spectator sport. It looks decent from the first person perspective, but a third person streaming a 1v1? Forget it. Compared to say, LoL, where you can see abilities and all sorts of things very clearly from an announcer's perspective, watching a streaming that's viewing a Minecraft fight is just two people running around each other and getting knocked back; not very photogenic. It can be hard to see who's winning, and all of the important details that do make things like PotPVP exciting (i.e. how many pots people have left, their health, etc.) are impossible to keep track of.

So how could that be improved? Well, I'd like to see third person streams of 1v1s show the viewer a little more information: I was curious if it was possible if, in the corners and top of the twitch screen, each player's perspective, their inventory, and then some numbers (pots remaining, buff timers, hits landed, who currently has the combo and how many hits it is, durability, etc.) could be displayed to the viewer. This could possibly be achieved via the use of custom mods, use of alts, gamemode 3, and twitch features: I'm really not sure if it even is possible. I just think the viewing experience would be enhanced so much if this information was there.

Maybe I'm still not making sense. This is a poorly-made mock-up of what it would look like: https://i.imgur.com//rvzZCbw.png. As you can see, in this example, you could know exactly what each player is seeing, what's left in their inventories, and who currently is winning. What do you guys think?

TL:DR; would you guys think knowing more info when watching a third person stream of a tourney 1v1 would be a nice feature, and a stream that would provide that type of information even possible?

it'd be pretty cool if players of the minecraft community could fly to tournaments for them big bucks and shit.

It shouldn't be too difficult just need around 5 people to do it. 2 people to provide the gamemode 3 perspectives, 2 people to view the players inventories using a real time inventory viewing plugin of some sort and one flying around in third person perspective. The number of hits and health pots could probably be counted by a plugin or even command blocks. The amount of effort and organising might mean you could just do this for the semi-finals and up.

You're over-simplifying this. It'll take wayyyy more that that
