Maybe you should not share personal messages from the owner with the rest of the community.

I'm gonna reply once, and you're never going to fuck with me again, because you sincerely hurt my feelings.
I am a calm, rational personal, but I don't want to blow up like sluttycow (no offense), so I'm forcing myself to write this with my ideals in mind. However, I don't want to see any of your toxicity towards me (or anyone else, for that matter) again. You seriously don't know what I've been through these past months, and that you have the audacity to try and gain self-esteem through the belittling of others on internet forums just amplifies your immaturity. I just want you to think about treating the internet equally to IRL, because however much you doubt it or deny it, your actions will eventually transfer to beyond the online community. 12 months ago, I was one of the most toxic bitches on the internet, and it was affecting my IRL life, as much as I denied the source. My first experience on the Badlion forums caused me to want to change this, and I have made extreme strides to improve myself since.
I post material for any of the following reasons:
I think the community will enjoy them
Thanking the community/staff
Idea for the server
Interesting
Sorry if you don't like what I post, but you have a choice: you could either IGNORE IT like a rational person or bitch about it to others.,

You have no idea how many times i have just considered exploding on the fourmsPosted on 21 May 2015 - 02:00 AM
Oh, that's not my version of exploding. Not even close. In fact, that's probably the nicest way I thought of to approach the situation while also getting my point across.Posted on 21 May 2015 - 02:03 AM
In my 'Please stop' thread was probably my most non toxic thread everPosted on 21 May 2015 - 02:41 AM

Whatever dude. You shouldn't talk about your personal problems on the internet, it isn't going to get you pity. I'm honest when I write, and I think a lot of your posts are annoying. This, this, and this add nothing to the general discussion and are kinda cringy. You've been on the forums for what, two weeks? And the owner has already told you to slow down? (thanks for sharing btw) I think you would get along better if you stopped and thought about what you were going to write before you wrote it. Does it really belong in the general section? Do I really need to tag this person? Does a discussion about my hallmark movie really need to happen on this minecraft forum site?

Lock please this is gonna get kjsefriue f sdgsd tiuserPosted on 21 May 2015 - 02:56 AM
I'll make this brief as well.1. I'm not trying to get pity.
2. Honesty is truthfully (haha ironic) not always good, eapecially when it makes others feel bad.
3. Yeah, the first two are pretty useless. However, if you had put any thought into it, you'd realize the reason why I posted the third piece.
4. Not really a command…it was just in jest
5. I've been on the forums for a while, ending about 3 months ago, when some IRL stuff prevented me from playing. I got a new account, and yes, forum account.
6. I do think about what I post, a lot. You can't blame people for making mistakes..we're not always right, and don't always use common sense.
7. I've already been given advice on tagging/thread placement by MasterGberry.
8. Not everything is visible at the surface.
Adios, because this is the last time I'm ever replying to you. You do two things: make me feel bad and make me toxic. I don't want to be around anyone who does that.
# lock this please
Posted on 21 May 2015 - 03:04 AM
lmao mods don't just lock shit if you ask them to. Why does this thread need to be locked?Posted on 21 May 2015 - 03:40 AM
Usually when making a forum post, I think about a few points:Is my post actively contributing to the topic?
Is my post acceptable behavior-wise?
Is my post really necessary?
Is it necessary for me to tag this particular person, and do I have a good reason to do it?
If it's a discussion thread:
Is my thread going to bring up a good discussion?
Is my thread contributing to the subforum it is in?
Is my thread going to be "approved" by the forum users?

This is good advice. Generally, just thinking about whether or not you're making a good contribution will make your overall post quality a lot better. But even so, maybe you're still having a tough time with this. If you're trying to make good threads and posts, but seem to be unsuccessful based on community reaction, I'd advise you to just lurk around and get the gist of what's good and appreciated content and what's regarded as low quality content.

Blunt honesty is a great way to get your point across. However, using that type of honesty can go out of line, as some people are more sensitive to what others say about them than other people. Occasionally, you'll get comments that come off as a bit rude and blunt, and you've just got to suck it up and take the criticism. However, if you think that they're really going too far and are breaking rules, feel free to report them. Remember that replying to them is not necessary; just go straight up and report, and the staff will decide what to do.
And redpanda is right to some extent — the forums aren't your blog, but this doesn't mean you can't ask for advice, personal problems or just random questions unrelated to Badlion; this stuff belongs in Off Topic.
