Badlion UHC 3.0 Patch Notes
Hey everyone. Today I am here to talk about the new Badlion UHC Patch that will be coming out soon, called 3.0. There has been a lot of buzz around what 3.0 is going to have and I am happy to share all of the cool features we are adding today.

Quickly for anyone that hasn't heard we are adding a new donation rank called Lion which will have some features in 3.0. Check out the full post here for all of the Lion rank permissions https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/47144

Now for a quick summary. Badlion UHC 2.2 (current version) is pretty good for the most part. There are some things missing though that we can add to make it even better. One example is combining game modes. Another huge problem has been combat loggers. We have taken the time to sit down and look at all of the bugs/issues with 2.2 and have done our best to clean up as many of them as possible in 3.0. Here at Badlion we are always trying to improve what we have and work towards new expansions of game modes. Our ultimate goal is to have as many players on the network as possible and keep players on the network as long as possible.

Now onto the long list of patch notes:

New Features

- New UHC Lobby for summer! Yay
- No more oceans/jungles in the maps \o/
- Worlds are now auto-generated so that games can be hosted back-to-back if we so decide we want to (need more hosts :p)
- Hosts can now use multiple Game Modes at the same time. Such as Diamondless and CutClean (a very large requests).
- New game modes such as Ender Dragon Rush. The objective is to kill the ender dragon. First player/team that does so wins. (Will not be available on launch right away. Needs a bit of fine tuning).
- Combat Loggers - When you log out a zombie combat logger will spawn for 10 minutes until you log back in. If the logger is killed when you are offline your inventory/armor will be dropped, a head will be created, and you will be death banned as if you were in the game.
- Donator+/Lion will now have access to the /tele command. /tele [name] or /tele [x] [y] [z] both work the same as /tp does.
- Lion rank can spectated 500x500
- Lion rank can whitelist a friend using /wl add [name]
- /team list [name] - Shows team listing for a team so that you can see other teams.
- /killcount [name] - Show the number of kills someone has
- Spectators now have a clock in their inventory that allows them to teleport to players within the 100x100 or 500x500 border (depending on their rank). This will make it easier for them to see who is alive and who they can watch.
- At the 500x500 border shrink people in the nether will be teleported to the main world. At this time you will no longer be able to get into the nether.

Tweaks

- When doing /h [name] it will now only show 2 decimals.
- /sendcoords also only shows 2 decimals
- Fixed typo in CutClean creator's username "KatManKhaos"
- Spectators can no longer take void damage
- Team Kills show on the scoreboard now too
- Heal time is now configurable for the hosts
- Sends a message back when you use /helpop to let you know the command worked.
- You can now join as a Donator+/Lion up to 20 minutes game time, not 20 minutes IRL
- Only show the mods who are online when using /list
- Show iPvP messages when trying to iPvP to make it known that you are not allowed to do it
- Show /team accept and /team deny message when you receive a team invite
- Border shrinks are the same from 3000 to 1000 (shrink right next to border). At border shrinks 500, and 100, you will be randomly scattered across the whole map if you are outside of the border during shrink.
- Op players are no longer auto-forced into a UHC-Mod position
- You no longer get teleported up if you run into the border.

Bug Fixes

- When you are a Donator+/Lion and get death banned for being AFK you can now properly rejoin as a spectator
- When the final countdown finishes the system will try to teleport you to your teammate instead of randomly scattering you (if applicable)
- Make it so when players who have similar names can join the game and not kick one of them saying "This is a tmp solution to prevent corruption"
- Fixed an issue where when changing hosts it would show the wrong names
- Fixed the 0,0 bedrock border glitch
- Fixed the 0,0 tp on final 100x100 shrink bug where players would get tp'd to 0,0 instead of the edge of a border

Statistics

This section needs it's own whole area because there is so much information being stuff we are storing here.

Per Match:

- Game Rules/configurations fort he match.
- Full Player Inventories when they kill someone or when they quit and don't come back.
- Health/Food when they kill someone or when they quit and don't come back.
- How many Players/Teams were alive when you died.
- Team ID
- How long you were alive before dying

The following are going to be available for every single match and for every player's profile also. (There will be leader boards for a lot of these)

- Number of Kills
- Number of Deaths
- Arrows Shot
- Arrows Hit
- Sword Swings
- Sword Swings hit
- Sword Blocks
- Bow Punches
- Damage Dealt
- Damage Taken
- Number of coal/iron/gold/diamonds/emeralds/lapis/redstone mined
- Number of animals/mobs killed
- Number of potions used (strength, speed, invis, etc)
- Number of golden apples used
- Number of golden heads used
- Fall Damage Taken
- Hearts Healed
- Horses Tamed
- Levels gained
- Nether Portals Entered
- Ender Portals Entered

Oh my goodness…that list was much longer than I expected. I probably forgot something…oh well.

Anyways the final release date is going to be sometime this weekend. We are aiming for Late Friday/Early Saturday. While statistics will start being tracked from the moment 3.0 is live the website features will not be live until later in the weekend.

Think that's it. Happy to answer any questions :)

EDIT: We are going to start beta testing today on Friday. Statistics will not be saved for this weekend most likely because there will probably be some bugs with them. Also the no oceans/jungles will be randomly hooked up when it's ready. The rest of UHC 3.0 will be tested this afternoon.

- No more oceans/jungles in the maps \o/ | Darn :( Oceans are a part of the game.

- Worlds are now auto-generated so that games can be hosted back-to-back if we so decide we want to (need more hosts :p) | wow…that is actually insane, considering previous world generation took an hour+, but what if 0,0 is a swamp filled with mostly water? Hosts will still need to check 0,0. Also, how many more hosts do you want ;)

- Hosts can now use multiple Game Modes at the same time. Such as Diamondless and CutClean (a very large requests). | insane feature, ty

- Combat Loggers - When you log out a zombie combat logger will spawn for 10 minutes until you log back in. If the logger is killed when you are offline your inventory/armor will be dropped, a head will be created, and you will be death banned as if you were in the game. | Does this zombie have a nametag? If so, can it be removed, as if I go afk I don't want my nametag to remain .-.

The auto-generator takes care of all of this already ^.^ It's been a long side project of Smelly's and mine.

Of course your name shows….don't go AFK. That's the whole fucking problem here.

Not touching any other biomes at the moment. The only major FPS issues are jungle and Oceans obviously suck in general. Snow does not cause any FPS lag, trust me I ran a lot of tests on this.

I think the whole getting scattered when shrinked is not a great idea. Border camping is a playstyle of many players like myself. It should still have them be tp'd them into the corner, it is their own fault for not running to the border? After all that is the point of the border to get people to start heading to 0,0. And they should have to face the consequence to get tp'd to the corner if they dont start heading towards the border. If anythig it should be illegal to make a trap or box cornering the border.
