So I'm trying to get to 1.8k elo in MCSG. I' pretty inexperienced so can I get some tips please?Posted on 26 May 2015 - 09:55 PM
Don't do that^^^^ worst tip ever… Just play tactically and use the map to your advantagePosted on 27 May 2015 - 10:15 PM
Edit your hotbar how you like it, don't waste all of your arrows straight away, use FnS as quickly as you can. Just practice these things and you'll get good.Posted on 27 May 2015 - 10:56 PM
Mcsg is alot of RODRODROD, If you can get good at rod you'll be fine. But if you're not that great, like me and still want 1.8k Use the map to your advantage, If they're is alot of trees wait for them to get close to where they can't rod combo you. THEN BLOCKHIT THEM TO DEATH.. :)Posted on 27 May 2015 - 11:48 PM
Cool. I've kind of begin to realize that strafing isn't always enough against rodders, so I'm trying out hotkeys. For the people that have commented so far, thanks for the suggestions!Posted on 28 May 2015 - 12:01 AM

always try and go in with the sword with an advantage (having flint and steel'd them or arrow shot) bc chances are you should be able to trade at least even hits. Also if you get someone on fire, don't go in right away and don't expect the rod to knock them back all the time b/c the knockback is messed up, and if you're on fire go aggressive and just run at them and blockhit, for the same reason.Posted on 29 May 2015 - 04:35 AM
Bowspammers - For people who sit back and try to land a shot on you, strafe and rod them, this'll confuse the person and make them miss more. Don't eat your gapple, once they are out of arrows, proceed to threaten them with the rod still, gapple up, then go in for sword, if they charge in, then FNS and rod and sword.Rushers - If someone is clearly rushing, pre-gapple, then FNS and sword, you will have no time for rod or anything, this way while they are running you can chase them down so they can't gapple and you are safe from a combo b/c of higher health, or you bow them down because they are too low to bow back. If they rod spam, bow em.
