Okay guys, so I know some of you, similar to I, have experienced a [drastic] change in ping(From ~30ms to ~105ms) and I'm here to explain what the most probable reason for that is. I am not stating this IS what caused your ping to spike but it could very well be the reason for it. It happened to me as well. With the help of MasterGberry, I was able to discover this. Now, let's get started.So, roughly 5 days ago I logged off from Badlion to go to sleep, i had about 30ms. The next morning, I load up minecraft and notice that my ping to Badlion has drastically increased to 90ms. So i ran a tracert and discovered that I was no longer connecting to the NYC node of badlion, but rather the Los Angles node(I am on the East Coast). The reason for this IS NOT because of Badlion, but rather your internet company. Your ISP decided to route your connection somewhere else before sending it to other places. All of the servers in my multiplayer server list had a noticeable ping increase. I am not sure how to get this fixed but for me, it was actually fixed automatically after a day or two, but for some of you, I would say try and contact your ISP about it (If you have Comcast, good luck with them, they are a massive pain), not sure if this works but it may.
THIS POST WAS MADE TO EXPLAIN, MOST LIKELY WHY YOU SUDDENLY HAD A NOTABLE LATENCY INCREASE
