I join a UHC to play and a massive wave of questions comes towards the person who is hosting the UHC or its mods. One of the most questions being asked is if the UHC being hosted is CutClean and if it is FFA or Teams. Since I do see quite A LOT of dissatisfaction when a host says it's not CutClean or any other gamemode, I'd like to a suggestion to it.So, when a UHC host decides to claim their game at whatever time (let's say 5PM GMT/UTC) and instead of him choosing the gamemode or choosing the gamemode that hasn't been used in a long time, how about they add a little strawpoll or some voting system so the players who will actually play the game decide and vote what gamemode that will be. Sometimes I join the UHC and ask a host why is it not CutClean or any other gamemode, I usually get the answer that he/she doesn't like CutClean or that is overused or that they just don't feel like hosting it. (I'm using CutClean as an example here since it is the gamemode most people like).
I also know that games are sometimes claimed 30-45 mins before the actual UHC and I know it might not have enough time for players to vote but, in my opinion, I'd rather have 40 players vote for CC and 10 for vanilla (even though that's a low amount of players) 20-30 mins before the actual UHC then to have a gamemode most of the people don't like.
I has come to the point where sometimes my friends or me (or even streamers) don't want to stream or play because there is a certain gamemode in the game that they don't like…
So, my suggestion is kinda clear - a voting system for gamemodes instead of hosts picking the gamemode…

-1… The host should decide on what they host.Not everybody likes Cutclean better, so the hosts are hosting a Vanilla game for those people.

-1hosts are completely correct in picking gamemodes that haven't been used in a while. if the players got to pick, every game would be cutclean and there would be no variety and the people that dislike cutclean would stop playing. as for people asking about the gamemodes ingame, that shows they didn't check the calendar to begin with.
either way cutclean is for people who are simply too lazy to smelt

It's mostly vanilla now and a lot of people hate it. I rarely see EU hosting a cutclean but when it is hosting a cutclean, there's usually a twist to it like; no absorption or to5…About hosts deciding what to host… They're not the one playing, they're the one spectating. I think they shouldn't give 2 shits if if's cc or vanilla as their job is to spectate, not to choose a gamemode they like and NOT EVEN play.
I mean, I don't care if it's vanilla or any other gamemode because it's Badlion's loss. Go to any more famous' player twitter and see what they think of the gamemodes… Why does that matter? -They're the one having 100-1000 viewers per stream and it's in Badlion's interest to hosting something more people want (including streamers) because I've seen streamers not play games because of the gamemodes (especially big teams (to4,to5)). It's Badlion's loss for that - not mine. ;) FYI; Lot of people donate just to play w/ or against their favourite streamer.

Well, to be honest, there's no that much variety right now. It's mostly vanilla which most of the people hate and then there's a few cc's and diamondless here and there. Or, they could make it so for example; 1PM CC, 3PM Vanilla, 5PM Diamondless, 7PM Vanilla, 9PM CC and switch it up every single day so people can play their favorite gamemode. I'm sick and tired of me and other people shitting about how there is no cc or diamondless for a long time.

To reply to your original post:CutClean gets daunting after a while. Myself and the other staff members would prefer if things were kept as varied as possible. Strawpolls are too easily manipulated, and it's good to keep changing from the normal.
