How can schools suspend you for defending yourself
Happens all the time. I don't see how its right. Happened to me this year. Someone punched me and tried to beat me up and a punched them to get them away. I was suspended. How is this right. Put your opinion down below. Im wondering.

If they engaged and you didnt provoke them, I don't see any valid reason for a punishment.

Our policy is The school can suspend you for defending yourself if it turns into an attack. I threw 1 punch, and that was to get him off of me, for I do not see how I violated the school policy

eh, 2 days doesn't hurt, I wouldn't be too concerned, it won't really affect your education at all.

however, I disagree with you being punished if it actually went how you described it.

The schools have to do it because they dont want to get in to a whole load of legal shit with the parents so they just suspend them as a pretend punishment.
I honestly dont care if I got suspended my self as I see it like I just got holidays.

My school does the exact same thing both people will get suspended in a fight doesn't matter who started it (the punishment is different for both tho.) They do it so you both learn from your mistakes because fighting one another is obviously not the answer even if you are defending yourself it could turn into something more then just defending yourself. It doesn't seem fair but it is just to make people realize even thought most people don't acknowledge it.

You wanna see north london mate
I hardly get into fights though, don't think its worth the trouble.
If the incident went how you said it did then you acted out of self defense, dont worrry about it. Tbh it was only 2 days

I actually live in east London, but I have to go to Essex to get to my school. One guy got suspended and he moved to my brothers school. He got suspended there too for carrying a knife. London schools are becoming fucked up. One girl in my school is a great example of every girl in East London. She gets into fights, carries drugs and smokes, and they are all just really, really stupid.

Everyone would we are talking about how schools handle them though. Most schools suspend both people so parents don't get involved and so it doesn't escalate to something worse. Usually it is to make the victims realize that fighting isn't the answer and all that stupid shit lol but no one follows that
