Thoughts on 3.0 Update
Hello Everyone, I started up this thread to give my feelings on 3.0 Update. First i just want to say the MasterGberry and all the other staff have done a great job optimizing this game for a more unique experience. I think since 3.0 has come out that there have been a lot of mineshafts and swamps. This personally i think is a bad thing finding a mineshaft used to be a treat and a reward with all the minecart chests and easy access to string. Now in a game usually randomly mining down leads you into a mineshaft, turn around another corner and a new mineshaft appears. I want to hear other people opinions on the 3.0 update and maybe if you agree with me or any other 3.0 Pros and Cons comment down below! I'll be looking at this post and commenting back.

Spawners have become way too frequent leading to fire aspect/flame not even being rare anymore

Mineshafts and diamonds are everywhere. There's no point even cutting trees down until you've found a swamp it's that easy.

I feel like the update has kind of taken away the hardcore aspect. Do appreciate the UHC stats though

I don't believe about the Spawners aspect of things but the mineshaft are too frequent aswell as diamonds.

@MasterGberry thoughts behind this?

We haven't stated publically, but we are actually already in the works of re-working our world generator.

We have discovered a bunch of issues thanks to all of the feedback from the community with TerrainControl (the plugin we used) and we are going to just spin up our own system to stop oceans/jungles from being used.

Shoudl be out by the following weekend (we hope)

So @MasterGberry , removing the oceans (Since the oceans had a higher spawn rate for mineshafts) put the mineshafts into all of the other biomes ? And as well with the swamps. There is a lot of them. Now everybody is getting lots of apples at the start of the game. I am fine with that but I would kind of like to have less swamps and not be so OP with items and kind of make it a struggle again. Thank you.

Eh I don't think the spawner thing is true, but they are definitely more diamonds and mineshafts

It's however the generator system is programmed that we are using.

But will the diamonds still stay high or no? I kinda like it ;P

It feels nice pulling a Vaecon and getting full diamond in 17 min. I feel op for once lol.
