Hi it's 5vnvill25,a regular player on this server. I would like to point out how the fly plug-in kicks players for no apparent reason. I'm sure a lot of players have been experiencing the same thing, and it's starting to get into our veins. So I'm here to kindly ask you to remove this plug-in, or at least not make it kick innocent players who aren't flying at all. So please consider this Suggestion. No one would like to obtain a 20 kill streak and get kb'd by a random just to get kicked for flying right after. I really think that it will improve the quality of the server if you remove it or somehow nerf it's capabilities.

Or they could remove a bit of sensitivity of the plugin. Maybe after you ''fly'' a certain height you will get kicked, just suggesting.Posted on 08 May 2014 - 01:51 PM

The sensitivity was raised a bit. Can you give some for instances on where it has happened? After a match? during a match? after an enderpearl?Posted on 08 May 2014 - 09:27 PM

After a match is the most common case, I believe it's because you're getting teleported into a pile of people and causes enough lag to kick you, this is mostly the case for soup anyway. Although it's rare for me I've seen countless people over the past few days in soup complain about it. @MasterGberry

This is because, when you are uploading a video, it takes up your bandwidth, slowing down your internet and increasing your ping. This occurs most often with players that have high ping, and vice-versa.

Yeah, specially when I log on and the amount of people in the server makes me get kicked. When I run on to soup, If I don't wait at least 4 seconds in the spawn I'll get kicked as always, maybe my problem when uploading videos, but probably people with high ping experiences this.

So to go into a bit more depth on this, the plugin is custom coded by myself. It is actually what allows us to have very smooth PvP in the first place, so people do not rubberband when getting hit around like crazy. It's not perfect, and right now I need to lower the sensitivity a bit, but it gets the job done for the most part. The exception being if you are lagging and your client tells the server something stupid because it's lagging, the server will kick you. There is nothing that can be done the client was required to install a mod to verify no hacked clients were being used. Of course this is asking the impossible at the moment so it all has to be server side.
EDIT: For now I removed the extra check I put in which seems to be causing the problems, and I will tweak it at a later time to ensure it works properly.
