Enderpearl Vanish Bug

Sometimes, when opponents enderpearl towards me during a fight, where the enderpearl lands the player is invisible. The player can then hit you for about 2 seconds before re-vanishing. In this period of time, you can not hit the opponent. I'm not sure if this is client side, or server side, but I have a slight feeling it might have to do with lag. Anyways, this is the reason I have lost several of my ranked matches, and I personally find it pretty annoying. Hopefully this can get fixed soon.Thanks.
