Badlion Arena Build Competition
Posted on 27 June 2015 - 02:10 PM
So when playing on Arena PvP, the new ladders are so popular that the amount of people playing the ranked and unranked amounts to more people than arenas available, resulting in "Out of Arenas". Whether this is purely because there are not enough arenas or that they won't load properly and produce this glitch I don't know. What I think will be a good idea is for a badlion arena building competition where build teams of 5 create 50x50/100x100 arenas (Created by admins and mods using WorldEdit) within a competition time limit (2 hours?)
and after will be judged by as many mods as possible to speed up judgement. Each arena is judged twice for a better conclusion. Any trolls can be 3 day banned.
Teamspeak rooms created by each team would be beneficial, since then the mods can talk to the team, understand each build teams' idea, and also say whether their arena is accepted or not.
Even if arenas don't pass and the plot is wasted, the failed plots can then be allocated to winning teams to rebuild so there is no waste of plots. I think that a lot people will sign up to this, as speaking with some members they are avid builders and want to do something about the wait time. (They also want to make new arenas for more variety) At peak times the lack of arenas is quite a problem since there are approximately 35 gamemodes within Arena PvP. (Incl. 2v2's and 3v3's)
Thanks for your time reading this and I hope it actually makes coherent sense, otherwise pls don't hate. (My ideas often don't work)
Hopefully it can take place, and even if the "out of arenas" thing is actually a glitch, It wouldn't hurt to have a few new arenas - That are built to suit the communties' ideas and wants. (Instead of from an outside build team)

Sorry should've looked at the forums more closely before posting :/I think it should be members of staff who vote as they are more reliable and there will be no biased votes.
