Helpop when muted
So being repeatedly muted (44 times :p) and playing UHCs does help me see some things that other players might not. One thing I've been wondering about is the helpop system. Muted players can't use helpop, and I understand that players who are muted would most likely abuse the helpop system and spam, curse, etc. Other players though might have legitimate concerns, like if they're being iPvP'd or to ask questions that may not have been previously asked.

I thought about the abuse of the helpop command by players who are muted and want revenge, but an easy way to avoid that could be a ban, increasing in time with the varying amount of times he/she repeats the offense. Let me know if this is to be considered? xx

@*deleted-29008 I feel like a ban is more suitable, the muted player has one outlet to talk or get help and if they abuse it, they need a higher punishment. Good idea though.

I can agree, I have been muted some times and have been trapped in the nether at the 1000 x 1000 when i had op shit and i wanted out since it was border shrink and i was stuck there since BEFORE teh shrink even started and I had to wait for the 500 x 500 to get tped out of the nether, this happened because I couldnt helpop because i was muted.

but…think about it…
they do it for a reason and the reason is because you got muted for a reason, you violated the rules or was just being plain annoying to people, so you got muted and punished
how is that their fault? it's technically not. They have rules set that TONS of people don't follow simply because they are stubborn. Helpop is disabled to muted people because they lost the right to chat for a certain ammount of time, whether it be permanent or for a week.

@Cantstopcheating I understand that but if you're in a UHC and someone's iPvP'ing you, they get away with it and you're left dead even though the punishment for iPvP is a ban, which is more severe than a mute.

@Verillium Okay, Now i understand +1 I think maybe just allow them to helpop but they get 1 warning if they abuse the command

+1 although tbh the simplest solution is don't be stupid and don't say something you'd get smacked for

@Thnk I got muted for saying bowspam in ladder pvp and couldnt helpop in a uhc because of it, not something I'd generally get smacked for :p

My position on this.

@SmellyPenguin that's a good position to be in and I stand by that but someone gets muted, plays a UHC, gets iPvP'd, and the other person doesn't get banned, basically letting them break an even more severe rule…

@*deleted-80690 everyone thinks differently and though you might find things easy there are other people who don't. Some people can't control their behavior and it's not up to them.
