Apologies in advance if this is being talked/worked on already but although I'm not currently muted I have been in the past and if noticed that it makes playing a whole deal harder…Although it is perfectly right that the players who received the punishment can not talk full stop but this kind of effects their game.
Maybe add a feature where you can select a brief list of phrases that are not harmful in any way but allow the player to carry on as before.
Ideas:
- gg
- Crossteam?
- Can I join your party
- I am muted
These are a few that I thought could be quite useful but it's not up to me :P
Thanks for reading

Try to not get muted, is that so difficult?Posted on 30 July 2015 - 12:23 AM
For some people the answer is yes, I don't tend to get muted a lot but just trying to help.Posted on 30 July 2015 - 12:35 AM
It's not difficult to behave yourself in chat. Taking away permission to chat for a temporary amount of time serves as a warning/punishment. I see no need to allow ANY messages to be sent when a player is muted.Posted on 30 July 2015 - 02:09 AM
I've never been muted yet I think this is a very good idea. Allowing a player to select phrases such as gg and I'm muted wouldn't make getting muted worth it, but it would take the toxicity out of the equation.Posted on 31 July 2015 - 06:03 AM
I think all these should be no except "I am muted" which would help players that are trying to message the muted player know that it is a muted playerPosted on 31 July 2015 - 09:58 AM

This already exists. When you try to message a muted player a message pops up saying 'this player is muted and won't be able to respond to your message'. Or something along those lines.

Of course being punished is going to effect the game. That is the point of a punishment, otherwise people wouldn't really care. I don't support this, but thanks for your suggestion.Posted on 02 August 2015 - 09:19 AM
@Cavasi You really see no point in any messages being said in chat if you're muted? Saying Gg in chat after a fight would be a nice thing, if they have the chance to talk at all while they're muted, it's to be a good sport. I really don't see how you can say they shouldn't even have the ability to say this. It's harmless.I only agree with saying gg after a fight or something, but +1

No, I honestly don't see a point in ANY messages being said. You got muted for a reason, your punishment is not being able to speak.
