UHC Spectator Bug

I was in the middle of ArenaPvp, and wanted to spectate the UHC. I went to watch it, and started to type in chat. I soon noticed that whenever I typed in chat it wasn't spectator chat but the regular one. I was only able to get 2 screenshots, I wasn't able to message alive players but still able to talk in chat.*This has happened before so I thought it was a bug*

Did u join at any other part of the game?Were you playing?

I joined in the beginning then left to play ArenaPvp, but after I came back right before the 100x100 to spectate it. So I joined the game twice, one in the start and before the 100x100.
