Honestly though, you may think that resetting elo's is a good thing, after each season, but think about it for a minute. Care for all the people (like me) who spend months and months grinding ladders just to get their elo they have earned thrown back at them by resets. Imagine you get 2k in vanilla, after all the hard work grinding it, next season your back at 1400. I feel like we should elo reset perhaps once a year or maybe never, instead of the 2-3 months. Accept all criticism but in my opinion I feel like we should not reset elos as it eats through my spare time for it to end up being reset the next month.Posted on 20 August 2015 - 07:01 PM
+1 It is pointless working hard for ELO only for it to be reset so soonPosted on 20 August 2015 - 10:57 PM
Your stats and leaderboard positions will be saved so that you can always look back later.-1 I like starting over every once in a while. It would get boring to get high elo in everything and then never have anything to do. (lol I can't get high elo anyway)

-1 Personally for me I improve greatly throughout the months so when it does reset I can make my stats look much better than the previousPosted on 21 August 2015 - 03:53 AM
Furthermore I played loads of ranked MCSG when the stats reset last and at one point I was 43th out of everybodyPosted on 21 August 2015 - 06:34 AM
Starting refresh resets everyone's "tryhardness". If we kept the same stats then slowly everyone would get bored - the same people at the top would stay there etc.If we reset the stats, then it re-hypes everyone, people want to get to the top.

It's either seasons or rating decay - most major games do seasons.
