Brave never held GOAT for all-time Elo, which originally belonged to DrummerReviews
However, he does still hold highest Gapple elo of all time, at 2306

Yeah, without a doubt. In each of the last few seasons, ELO records have been broken at archer. I would guess it's a mix of there being more people around in general to play the ladder, and good players are getting better at new strategies meaning a bigger skill gap between good players and great players. A few seasons ago, I don't remember anyone really dodging, it was just who had the best aim and the most unpredictable strafe.Hivlik's ELO last season was 2343, so either that or something close to that would be the previous record.

Untrue, chris and Hivlik did it tons, and I occasionally did it.
Shotcamping and dodging in here, this was about a year ago; timestamp is the notable dodge:
?t=40s
Hivlik does it in this video constantly:
However, you may be right in a sense. Back then, I really only remember us three using the tactic regularly in fights, as was with shotcamping and feinting. There were probably a few exceptions here and there, but I agree that these tactics have gotten a lot more popular as of recent seasons. The thing is, though, the bow meta hasn't really changed. The tactics just got more popular, and different people started utilising them.

I noticed this as well, the more popular ladders have higher Elos appear more consistently, while less popular ladders' Elo doesn't cap too high. Fun fact: the highest Elo ever in chess was 2882. Pretty neat.
Congratulations EnchantedXI, you are an amazing player!

a lot of people started using shotcamping in the UHC and OCN style ladders. Fun fact, I actually started using it in Diamond OCN before there ever even was an Iron OCN because I copied Plaatinum doing it.
Dodging arrows really was unique to Archer because of the speed back then though, but nowadays you see people using it all the time. Generally it's more for when you've got a ton of arrows or an infinity bow, because obviously it extends to match out and wastes a ton of arrows

It's not just because the Elo game has changed - the competition is a lot different, and that throws the Elo pool off completely. It specifically means that you wouldn't get drained as much, but it also means that mediocre players have much higher Elo than they would have a few seasons ago.

Dark Rusting is when you stand with your bow drawn waiting for them to try to shoot, right? Also, what is shot camping?
