I think there should be a new elo system. Players should be come up against people that have the same elo or or near the same elo. This will also Help with people who elo drain. This is just a suggestion I hope you take this into consideration.Posted on 02 September 2015 - 09:44 AM
Very discussed topic in the past. This has been a thing in the past and people did not like it. There were many discussions about elo being changed, but I do not understand what is bad about it. https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/71870 https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/70659 etc…
If you are a 1,900 elo player and 1,400 beats you it might mean that you do not deserve the elo, I think draining should be a thing.
A lot of effort has been put into implementing such a great rating system, I do not think this will be changed in the near future, -1.

@Teracerus one of the big problems is people who dont take elo seriously, and purposefully drain. I think its a great idea, since if youre a high elo, you will be facing other good players, making it more difficult to grind elo and more of a challenge without those douchy drainers and laggy ass 1400s.Posted on 02 September 2015 - 05:45 PM
People being better than you at a lower ELO doesn't mean there needs to be change. This system has been tried before, and it failed as everyone was waiting too long for a match. It's the risk of playing ELO.Posted on 02 September 2015 - 05:45 PM

I know what you are trying to say, but still I do not think the reason is big enough to change the system. The opponents are neither hacking nor bug abusing so I do not think there is anything unfair about it in my opinion.
You should've fought for it in the past, I think it is too late now after all the hard work put into the current system.

Im just saying this elo system almost ignores how many wins you have. I have over a 3.0 kdr and just got drained from 1800 to 1690 today, yet ive seen players who will loose every five matches to a high elo, yet they maintain there spot around 1800 with maybe a 1.5 kdr. So technically, they have lost way more games than me, but because they are lucky and didnt lose to any draners, they are way higher than me on the leaderboardsPosted on 02 September 2015 - 06:08 PM
If someone has a terrible kdr and great ELO it means that they had to defeat someone with a way better ELO than them. I think that it is deserved (my opinion).Posted on 02 September 2015 - 07:09 PM
There is only one Elo system and it was created by Arpad Elo himself.Posted on 04 September 2015 - 09:30 AM
Look im not saying a 1400 isnt annoying , but they are also people , they are just as important as you are , i am not a 1400 myself but still just stop treating them as some other kind of animal . I am 100% u have had a laggy day too and u get laggy hits. So yea just leave 1400 to their thingPosted on 04 September 2015 - 10:12 AM

Agreed. It is not their fault that they have a bad ping. If you would have a ban connection, I am pretty sure you will start complaining and asking for making a proxy closer to you. (That is dedicated to OMGitsAliHWGT)

The current elo system is fine. getting drained is part of the game
