This is probably stupid, but would hiding for 5+ minutes behind a building/hill/other object be considered camping, even if it's not higher than the surrounding area?

Um if you're talking about ArenaPvp then no. Camping is where they're in a hard to go place, but if you're just behind a wall I wouldn't call it camping.

the map that inspired me to make this was the one with the 4 glass pillars and 2 large building type things. I was fighting You_Blow_I_Bow and after getting him down to half a heart, when i had about 8, he ran behind one of the buildings, and waited there so whenever i tried to come around the corner, he would already be waiting. There is literally nothing to do to counter this but wait. I had to go somewhere else irl, so i swordrushed him and he just ran around the building, occasionally shooting behind him. He ended up killing me, which I find absolutely lame, because if he hadn't hid behind it for around 5 minutes, i would have easily killed him.
