The Badlion Tournament Staff Team is happy to announce our next event: an EU 1v1 GApple tournament!Please only use this thread for sign-ups. Discussion and questions about this tournament are to be posted here: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/73629
Date and Time:
The tournament will be hosted on September 19th, 2015 at 2:00 PM BST / 9:00 AM EST.
You may use this website to convert the Tournament time to your time.
Please do not sign up if you cannot dedicate the time to participate to the tournament as the first round may take up to 1 hour! The tournament may go 3-4 hours although if you are eliminated, you are free to leave.
Server:
We will be using the Tournament server which will be located in the new Badlion datacenter in France (For information read here: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/73600)
Overview:
Introduced in Season 6, GApple became quickly one of Badlion’s most popular ladders. GApple is a unique ladder that combines both sword skill and strategy. This was the Tournament Staff’s choice because it is a relatively new ladder and is still popular among our playerbase.
The first 5 rounds will be 1 match. The 6th, 7th, and 8th rounds (Top 16 , Top 8th, and Semi-Finals, respectively) will be best of 3 matches. The 9th round (Third-place match and Finals) will be best of 5 matches.
This will be a standard single elimination tournament meaning that if you lose, you are out.
Rules:
All Badlion Network rules apply during tournament play.
The following offenses may warrant a ban from all Badlion Network servers without warning and will be harsher than those usually given out:
Players who break these rules may also be subject to a permanent black list, or disqualification from all future events.
In addition to actions mentioned above, the following may result in a disqualification from the event:
Rematches will be granted at the discretion of Tournament Advisers or Admins in only certain situations. Do not ask for a rematch.
Signing Up:
We will accept up to 512 players. If we reach more than that, we will accept players based on first come, first serve basis.
To sign up for the tournament, please post your name below. If you post your name and are unable to attend, you may edit out your post by the time the sign ups close as specified in the following section.
Sign-ups close at 11:59 PM EST on the 18th.

Maps:
All maps may be played during the Tournament. We will not allow a rematch if you do not like the map that you are playing on, even if your opponent agrees.
Prizes:
1st - 1 Permanent Lion rank
2nd - 1 Permanent Donator+ rank
3rd - 1 Permanent Donator rank
Note: You may apply the prize to any account of your choice. You may also upgrade one tier of rank if you already have it ie: if you win Donator and you already have it, you may elect to get Donator+ instead.
Blacklist:
If you fail to show up to your match, you may be added to the tournament blacklist.
Future of Tournaments:
The future of Badlion events will include new types of events, gamemodes, and ladders as we shift towards attempting to become more of a spectator sport. Check back to this forum section periodically for any new events! Our staff will be working very hard to get new events for the community!
