There needs to be a way to restrict rod spamming for five minutes straight to break someone's armor in MCSG ladder. It completely ruins the entire ladder and makes it require zero skill.I just had a match against some guy with 1800 ELO and I was beating him pretty badly with the sword and bow, so then he decides to rodspam for five minutes striaght, to the point where my helmet is broken, and the rest of my armor is below half durability. The sad part about this is that there is actually NOTHING you can do to avoid this. You can't rush him, you can't bow him, you can't do anything. Its an unbeatable tactic that requires 0 skill.

Then the second after the match ends:

+1strategy or no strategy, deliberately trying to piss people off makes you a cancerous player

(also you can strafe the rod and rod them back)
All rodding them back does is boost them farther

Every time I see you comment on a post like this, you always provide the same exact response. "Strategy wins games" or something with the same meaning.
Sure this is a strategy, but so is chugging gapples in vanilla, using a rod in kohi / debuffless, and camping. Sure it is a strategy, and sure it wins games, but this is just cancer.
I don't care about this at all - I don't even play mcsg (or minecraft for that matter). I just got tired of seeing you vetoing every "remove this" thread ever - you don't even play the ladder. You have no say, and neither does anybody who doesn't play the ladder constantly. (including me)

Rodspamming is basically camping, and camping isn't allowed lolPosted on 16 September 2015 - 09:55 AM

I don't see how anyone can call this a fucking strategy when it takes absolutely no skill to do this, any random 1200 player could break all of a 2000's armor and win. If you think doing this is a strategy, then you're basically saying camping is a strategy, because there really is no difference between this and camping… Doing this doesn't make either of the players better in any way..

I wouldn't say it takes no skill at all, because I can't do it myself. However, it is impossible to stop against a really good player and is the most frustrating thing on the server. For me it takes the fun out of the MCSG ladder because I don't play it to get pissed off.

Unrelated, but this is about rodding in the mcsg ladder, no? Hive is completely different as far as I'm aware…

Rodding is part of the game even know it is sad that people try to get others mad with this tactic it shouldn't be removed. As a 1300 global :/ I have seen a lot of sad spammers and other crappy tactics but again it is part of the game.-1

Just because someone doesn't play a ladder, doesn't mean they are blind to the way it works and all of the aspects of it.

That's not what I said. What I said was that if you don't play the ladder, you should have no say. Knowing about the ladder is completely irrelevant…
Either way, I don't give a fuck about what happens, I don't even play MCSG. You just have annoyed me for a while and I wanted to finally voice my complaint.
