❋ Ranked Matches Idea
I think it would be useful if players got temp-banned if they did /spawn in ranked matches. Maybe 5 minutes, maybe 10 minutes. Possibly even leaving ranked matches too, like disconnecting. This would be very good to help slow down the process of elo manipulating, and possibly make it easier to catch. If you see someone joining every 10 minutes and joining a ladder immediately and /spawning, you'll notice soon. Or someone else will. Yeah there's people who get annoyed and they just leave a fight, but it's a ranked match. You joined for a competitive match, you're not supposed to just leave. CSGO has it so that leaving or being kicked a certain amount of times in a temp ban I believe? I think it'd be an important thing to add to badlion. Maybe not record it on the punishments. Of course I considered the people that might lag out or something and can't join back after, but that shouldn't happen too often. If you're constantly getting disconnected, you have an issue.

Too much coding but I like the idea
If this was easy then +1

What if something comes up irl? There could be many reasons behind leaving a match

@DWlB If something comes up irl then assumingly you'll be gone long enough to wait out the temp ban? 5 minute ban is sufficient, something irl shouldn't be 10 seconds that you need to dc
just leave and you wont be banned

Still I don't like the idea of getting banned by leaving so yeah

@Verillium But then even if you have something up irl and be gone enough for a tempban, that will be bad cause your punishment section could get filled with tempbans and such and you will have a bad record on the server. Also if you are going for staff and you have all those temp bans, they might not accept you for that.

no, sometimes people just have to go, maybe if they made it if you did it like more than 3 times in a row… but sometimes I know of people where their mom will just make them leave and sometimes that is the way they think of to leave. [btw that person is me]

-1 If the person need to do things in real life then they can. You still get elo and can move on to another match.
Now if they spam spawn every round that is ELO manipulation which is bannable

@Tredawg2002 If the person needs to do things IRL then the tempban will be over by the time they come back, or they could leave it open and still lose elo.

I agree with this. If such an idea were to be implemented, this alternative approach may work for the same purpose you intend this feature to be used for. The original idea is a bit too harsh, because of the possibility of having a problem come up will always end up with a player getting temp-banned. Consider this: there's no such warning for ranked matches to be something that you /must/ play through the entire match, despite it being a competitive match up. The player should have a free choice to leave the match whenever they want to. That tacit idea kind of does with the implementation of such a feature. Is it worth it? I'm not really sure— but my only real concern is, how does this idea really stop Elo manipulators? They can just take their armor off and get themselves killed anyway without having to face the penalty of the system. I somewhat feel as though the whole system can be bypassed so easily, and that it isn't even worth the trouble doing this.

I'm not sure what my stance is on the whole thing, but a couple of ideas:
~ /spawn can only be used after a certain time of the match has gone by; no temp an necessary
~ three minute timer – if /spawn is used 5 times, issue a tempban

People can just log out, what if people are lagging or whatever. There is scope for false banning here.
