So I really don't know how to word this. I have been given the opportunity to go to one of the best boarding schools in the world completely for free at the cost of basically only having to leave home and my friends and family behind. I really don't know what to do and I want to know what you guys would do in my situation. I really do want to go here but I don't know if it's worth me losing all my friends at school, especially those I don't have a means of communicating with when we aren't face to face. I don't have to make a decision really soon but I just would rather make up my mind too early rather then too late. Please help me.

i was in that situation 3yrs ago, from what i learned is that you make friends everywhere you go, and your old friends will try to do their best to have contact with you, if they care about you… Youself is the most important thing and go and study!!

If your current friend are your real friends, you won't lose them. Just won't be able to see them every day and that's what happens when you're an adult I guess. Use all the chances you can get, especially like these, they give you a lot of experience, you meet a lot of new people and explore others parts of the country/world. You should go, you'd learn to be more responsible for yourself and learn a bit about how is it to be an adult if you live alone.

go dude.

If I learned one thing in my life is that you shouldn't be afraid to leave your comfort zone. A bit over a month ago I moved to a different city for my new study. I didn't know anyone around here, literally noone. Now I am honestly having the time of my life. Don't be afraid to get involved :)

Ok thank you guys for your advice. It's really been helpful. I still have about 6 months with them. I'll try to spend this time well.
