This is meant to be a serious thread.Well, today I saw the announcement of the launch of the Judgment Day v5, and like it used to happen in the past I asked myself how could it be possible that several thousends hackers are going to get banned on Saturday, like in the previous Judgment Days.
For some reason each Admin I asked to about how Gcheat and Jds works has always refused to tell me anything furthere than it uses logs to detect hackers, or something along that way.
Before I actually express my theory I'd like to state I don't know about the argoment much more than the experianced Badlion players, I'm just assuming things.
So..
As you may know, GCheat needs to get patched fairly often as it needs to catch newest kind of hacks, such as Smooth Aimbot, which are less detectable than the average hacks as far as I know.
With hacks getting more and more advanced as the time goes, gcheat gets updated tryin to catch those skids.
GCheat creates logs each time something which is out of Minecraft dynamics has place, this may be because of hacks, kb modifier (not sure) and lag.
What my theory is about is GCheat saves each suspicious log, but doesn't ban the player as benefit of the doubt. These logs get used on a furthere date, which is when Judgment Day takes place. Since the last JD, GCheat hasn't checked all the past logs it has got, and it got updated and patched since then, now it can detect way more clients than before. What happens is on Judgement day it double checks the logs he has got since the latest judgment day, and being updated, it is actually able to detect all those clients which were undetectable before, and it ends up banning them.
This thread took me quite a bit of effort, tell me what you think about it.
Also I'd like to know @MasterGberry s thoughts about it, love you man.

tl;dr of judgement day:I add new checks or modify old ones to be more effective.
I log people cheating for a little while.
We have a party and ban them all together so they can't warn each other about being detected
We then turn on automatic bans for the new checks.

Wait, so if I have hacked only 1 round, I won't be detected and banned? @MasterGberryPosted on 06 October 2015 - 04:26 PM
