Cameralagg, admitting to autoclicker

@kerosseno He's not getting banned "for a medical reason". He made an autoclicker. He used it. That's not right for whatever reason. This is indeed a sad story and I'm actually so sorry for him,but,as I said,rules are rules. HE AS A MOD SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HE WAS DOING SOMETHING WRONG,he could've at least talked to Gberry or archy and I'm sure they would have found a way more simple solution,or they would have allowed him to use it. That's a rough decision too,you can trust him because he's put a lot of work into badlion etc,but are you 100% sure he will NEVER abuse it? Also,I don't think that he should be allowed to do stuff like this AT ALL ,disability or not. People with some other kind of disabilities will always be like "oh but he was unbanned just because bla bla bla" and I don't think any of the mods here would want to deal with that. A punishment is the simplest way to deal with this,in my opinion. Remember it's not just me,you,him and 10 or so players,there are thousands of players online + hundreds of new players every day. I know this just feels wrong because it's kinda obvious he did it for a "good" reason,but I still think who breaks the rules in any way for whatever reason must be punished. I understand he's been dedicated a lot,I know a lot of people would miss him as a mod if they ban him,I know this is a really sad story… he could've taken way better decisions. Comunque dovresti provare a candidarti come mod negli SG, è "più facile" diventarlo e da lì loro possono capire che tipo di persona sei, dopo che ti sei ambientato e hai fatto capire che sai fare il tuo lavoro avresti molte più possibilità per diventare mod negli Arena.
Ovviamente non ti obbligo, però sappi che daresti una grande aiuto a tutta la community :p

Quick question, why is the simplest way the best way? I agree what I did is wrong and I should have gone to them first, but as I said, I can't go back in time. If other people who had the same problem did the same thing, I think the public's response would have been the same.

All I was trying to say was that I dont think camera should get banned. Thats because he only recently started using autoclicker and 8 months is enough(My opinion) to compensate for using autoclicker on some days.I do understand that he knew the rules very well but im just upset that such an active and amazing mod should get banned. My opinion.

@CameraLagg I never said simplest way=best way. The best way to deal with this would be not punishing you,because you would still be a great mod on a great server. You did this because of your disablity,and you didn't feel like telling others. I get it,I would personally get over it too. But this could be doable in a way smaller server,with maybe not more than a few hundreds of players. We all know people will try to use "this same excuse" providing fake photos and stuff like that,we all know some people will just find another way to bypass bans. I can already see a pretty big amount of people saying they cheated because they have a certain disability.You need a punishment because you need to learn by your mistakes,and people need to know you can't cheat FOR WHATEVER REASON,even if they have disabilities like yours (You probably already know that was a huge mistake,otherwise you wouldn't have made this post),and also they (the Admins and the whole community) can't really pretend you never cheated.

Se chiudessero un occhio per te,che sei un mod rispettabilissimo eccetera,sicuramente ci saranno persone che si giustificheranno alla stessa maniera. Anche se "il pubblico" risponderebbe "Va be',l'ha fatto per un buon motivo… non punitelo",ricorda che è comunque "imbrogliare",è comunque contro le regole.

@Saimo Non sono davvero un "mcsg-er",letteralmente non ci ho mai giocato se non qualche partita 2 anni fa con amici,nulla di più. Sarebbe un po' stupido essere mod di una categoria che non ti "rispecchia".PS: Non danno motivazioni quando ti rifiutano. Io penso sia quello il motivo,poi non so :P

Let me start by reminding everyone ….he has two fingers… And it's hard to tell people - if we all knew about his fingers before , you would all probably pity him - he doesn't want PITY , he just wants to play Minecraft . you saw he could've gone to ARCHY or gberry but the thing is … Nobody really understands what something is like until they experience IT themselves …. I can bet you that he's the ONLY badlion staff member to moderate daily with 2 fingers …. He's done so much for badlion and when you find out he uses an auto clicker at 8 cps JUST SO HE CAN PLAY BLOCKGAME …. You decide that he should be banned? he wasn't using it to his advantage …Also may I state , if he were to tell people of his medical condition prior to this confession …. Okay, I know that I've been off Minecraft for around 2 months now, I haven't been up-to-date on Badlion recently, however I do know that CameraLagg is one of the greatest moderators Badlion can incorporate ( no offence to other moderators ). It would be a big mistake if you go foward on banning CameraLagg, he's used autoclicker, not to gain elo or make a disadvantage to others, it was too help Badlion thrive and become an even better server, the two fingers on his hand is a slight excuse, if he didn't have a simple macros, he wouldn't be able to execute an professional role in the Badlion community. I'd consider Camera to be one of the best, he's helped out new people, hes hosted ENDLESS amount of UHC's, and when I say endless, I mean endless, he's helped out with everything, he's one major part of Badlion, I also think it won't be the same without him on, furthermore, he's so consistant with his position he's came out and confronted everyone with something embarrassing to him, all on all I believe its best if Gberry and Archy don't ban him for using a third party device, it was only for him to escape the pain and help out Badlion more. Just think about what you are doing admins, if you lose Camera, it is a shot in the chest, please do not ban one of the great mods. So che non le danno motivazioni, comunque da quanto vedo se sei mod SG lo sei anche di SkyWars, a parer mio te le dovresti far piacere. Quando superi il trial puoi mutare (non bannare, solo mutare) anche nelle altre modalità se non lo sapevi, potresti candidarti per SG e magari lasciare se poi vieni preso in Arena

@CameraLagg Non credo che i mod e tanto meno gli admin abbiamo voglia di controllare ogni volta se una prova è accettabile al 100%. Purtroppo ci sarebbe una sorta di effetto domino,almeno è questa la mia preoccupazione. Per questo dico che per qualsiasi ragione tu giocatore (con un problema come il tuo ad esempio) non puoi,anzi non devi usare cheat. Il regolamento non prevede un'eccezione per certi tipi di disabilità. E onestamente,tutto questo potrebbe degenerare anche di più,e la gente si giustificherà dicendo che hanno usato client,cheat e mod solo perché hanno problemi di rabbia,depressione,e cose simili. Ovviamente penso che se questa cosa tu l'avessi detto agli Admin,nessuno ne sarebbe venuto a conoscenza e non si sarebbe alzato nessun polverone. Ovvio che non puoi tornare nel tempo,proprio per questo credo che sia necessario almeno una punizione,anche se non super cattiva, sia per farti capire l'errore di cui già ti stai pentendo,sia per sensibilizzare migliaia di giocatori che hanno seguito e seguiranno questa vicenda.Posted on 08 October 2015 - 03:08 PM

I dont blame u fully for using a cheat as u didnt get a advantage I haveNot lost any respect for u but sadly as said hacking is hacking as has to be dealt with accordingly

no you really dont get it. Rules are rules. Nobody would have held it against him if he didnt play competitively, in fact there are mods who don't even play at all, but do their job. How was he making the server a better place when he autoclicked? Camera was one of the better mods, but as I and morsinius said, rules are rules.

I realize rules are rules and that you broke them but I do think since you didn't use it to win or anything and that you only have 2 fingers you should still be able to play I really hope this gets a good solution. You are one of the BEST mods ive seen on Badlion and I wish you the best luck in the future.-Yash

Badlion sticks too much to the rules. IMO sometimes you have to adjust them to extreme circumstances like this. It's not Camera's fault he was born with 2 fingers. It's not his fault he has pain when trying to jitter click. It's not his fault he has a medical condition, which means he can't play like most of us who are privileged to have 5 fingers. He adjusted the macro so he could play like 99.9% of the community. He set it to a normal cps that a person with 5 fingers would be able to do. He used a 3rd party device to make him able to experience Badlion like a normal player without a disability. Just because he's a moderator, doesn't mean he can't play like the rest of us. He has done an exceptional amount of work for Badlion and just because he used a 3rd party device to play like a normal player with FIVE fingers doesn't mean he should be banned. It's quite clear the macro wasn't gaining him an advantage.This will be one of the most controversial bans if he ends up getting banned. Some empathy needs to be put into this, you have to view it from his POV. 90% of Badlion is behind Camera, can guarantee that. Yes there were other ways to deal with this, but at the end of the day I can totally understand Camera being afraid of getting hate.
Badlion will shoot itself in the foot on Saturday. Like several other people have said, you have worked incredibly hard, whether that's hosting UHCs, moderating SG and Arena or helping out in tournaments. Whatever the job you'd know Camera would be there. He has been staff for 8 months, working harder and harder each day, shaping the community what it is today and ending it like this? It's ridiculous and hard to believe.
All I hope is we get a detailed explanation, some empathy and fight for Camera. I really hope no friendships will be lost over this. Remember this is a GAME- not real life.
Badlion will lose one of its best mods on Saturday down to no one having empathy with him. It's actually really depressing. Camera isn't a cheat. Was never cheat and never will be a cheat. He was trying to fit in. He was scared of what people would think, totally understandable.
Camera you are a living legend in the community. You don't deserve this. The community will suffer. The staff team will suffer. Good luck in the future and I really hope for the best.

@CameraLagg Mabye a solution: agree with the admins that you wont play anny ranked matches. But continue to moderate?.
