Feedback Thread: UHC
Hey guys. So this is going to be one of many threads you are going to see me post right now in the Announcement section. The objective is to try and gather as much feedback from the community on some of our current features and little things we can do to make them better and more enjoyable. We welcome all suggestions, but might strike some of them down saying they require way too much work for the effort. Hopefully most of them are small little quality of life things we can do to make the server easier to use or more fun.

Please feel free to /register and signup on our website if you are coming to this thread from Twitter and contribute to the community feedback and discussions!

In this thread I want to talk about the Hosted UHC and MiniUHC servers and what we can do to make them better. I am going to be working on a 4.0 version of our UHC plugin soon and want to incorporate as many ideas into it as possible to make our UHC's bigger and better.

Already planned. Although I think the issue with this is actually people's texture packs. If they do some fancy particle/animation stuff with ores then they cause more lag (in which case you need to use a different texture pack).

I think one major thing everyone (well, almost everyone) would like to see is an anti-xray plugin. We had a few anti-xray games in the past and even though some people complained about lag (which I didn't have myself) I heard many people enjoyed them a lot.

Edit: already planned

Maybe try to make 1-2 custom uhc gamemodes?

different scenarios more often. There are a few games every so often like enderdragon rush or to8/10s but just not often enough and that can sometimes get a bit boring just playing vanilla or just cutclean. More variety would be awesome.

1) More gamemodes. At the moment we only have Cutclean / Vanilla/ Goldless / Diamondless . But the latter two are rarely hosted - its mainly classic or cut clean. I would like to see some more EDR (when the bug is fixed). I would also like to see some different gamemodes, such as Timebomb (my personal all time favourite gamemode).

2) One thing that ruins UHC for me is the now "try-hard" attitude of players. I understand that Badlion is a competitive PVP Network but I feel like it has gotten a little bit out of hand. To solve this I think we should have more statless games.

3) Smaller games. Don't get me wrong, I love the big games, I just think it might be nice to have a 100-200 player game with the map radius at 1500-2000.

4) Of course the anti-xray.

5) More troll games (psst let us seniors host them).

Some smaller games sprinkled in, such as 100 player FFAs, just to add variety.

more bow based uhcs? I know it sounds stupid but maybe smaller size and diamond rates lowered, like UHC not USC

Having uhcs that get voted on so like voting on gamemode of strawpoll is allowed then we could use that.

Really good idea , Like map votes on sg but for the scenario of the UHC game?
