Rated report system

The new improved report systemThe idea is basically to make reports rated
So why is this a better report system and who would this help?
This would help moderators to chose what reports to investigate and get rid of cheaters faster
and therefore would help players not lose as much ELO to cheaters.
Currently the staff get reports in this format (unless you changed it recently)

New report system
[Report] (<server>) <playerName> has reported <reportedPlayer> for <reason> [<x<?>Low> <x<?>Normal> <x<?>ANormal> <x<?>High>]
Compared to the old report system
[Report] (<server>) <playerName> has reported <reportedPlayer> for <reason> [x<?>]
How the new system would work
The ELO used is your highest ELO in any ladder
Low = 0-1599
Normal = 1600-1799
ANormal = 1800-1999 (Short for Above Normal)
High = 2000+
Example of how reports would look like to staff
2 Low reports and 1 High ⇩

1x Low 6x Normal 2x High ⇩

One question that has nothing to do with this: Why are moderators not allowed to ban blatant hackers while the fight is going on?

First of all, lmao nice report on GBerry xDSecondly, I think this isn't a great idea because ELO doesn't necessarily mean reliability. A high ELO player can falsely report someone just as much as a low ELO player. A low ELO player can correctly report someone just as much as a high ELO player. Plus, what if you just don't have good enough internet to be high elo? Does that mean you can't be trusted? Also, some people just play for fun, so it would be a bit unfair to essentially punish them for not tryharding.
Thirdly, to answer your question they don't want any chance of false bans and they need sufficient evidence. Why they can't ban hackers during a match after gathering evidence is beyond me.
There's no way to ban all hackers all the time, but Badlion does an amazing job compared to other servers.

Players who have 300ms+ can't really see if someone is hacking or not unless it's really blatant.Players who have more ELO are usually more experienced players and will have more accurate reports, for example some "Low" ELO players accuse me of hacks because I combo the shit out of them but "Normal" ELO players usually don't.

It's fine how it is, it's fool proof.Posted on 23 October 2015 - 10:04 AM
Bad idea. It will just give mods 1 more reason to ignore reports which may be completely true, ELO means nothing and therefore I don't see why it should be added to reports.
