Resolution affecting my performance...?
Posted on 19 June 2014 - 02:04 AM
Hi guys!I recently upgraded to a brand new gaming laptop (MSi GS60 Ghost Pro) and it is amazing except on… Minecraft PVP.
I used to play on an Alienware M11x (I know alienware sucks but I was a fanboy). The only resolution the laptop had supported was 1366x768 and that is what I played minecraft on.
Now that I have this new laptop with a 15'6 inch screen, I wanted to play MC on 1920x1080; When I started playing, I absolutely sucked. It seemed like all of my hits were missing and my mouse sensitivity was to high even when I toned it down to like 100 (usually 128).
Heres my question: Does anyone know why I cannot smoothly transition to 1920x1080 and or why my aiming has now become so inaccurate (due to mouse sensitivity being weird)?
Looking forward to your answers and help!

This is normal. Playing on a new resolution takes a lot to get used to. If you got a new mouse that could be it. But a new resolution also causes this. Just pvp until you are used to it, high sensitivity is better anyways. I can relate to this because I recently changed my mouse dpi to 3000 instead of 1800 when I got my Logitech G400s. Took me about 3 hours to adjustPosted on 19 June 2014 - 03:33 AM

1. Don't take it from bettersprint, hes a nerd. Instead take it from me..! Depending on your mouse if its razor get (the razor synapse program) or logitech (logitech program). Find mouse sensitivity and find it to your liking.
2. Player around with your mc sensitivity.
3. Another way is to go to "All control panels" find the "Mouse" section. Then, simply click it and your mouse (Plugged in) will pop up. Then there should be a speed adjustment. Scroll it up and down to your liking.
I hope you got it down, skype me tomorrow if you cant get it.

The higher the resolution, the more dots on a screen. DPI = Dots Per Inch. You see where I'm going? Adjust your DPI, not the sensitivity.
