Cratain has already made a post about this here, if you have not read I suggest you do. I feel as if I need to address this particular topic again. Specifically revolving around suicide and death /wishes/threats/encouragement/ related chat offenses.

A majority of you are younger than I am, and I'm probably more mature. But does that mean I don't feel frustrated? Of course not. I get annoyed at this block game, perhaps less than other players. But does that give me, a moderator, a excuse to tell someone to kill themselves? Hell no. Even if I was a non-donor, like I was before I was granted a position as staff. Does that give me an excuse to tell you, your friend or another player to die? Fuck no. Recently its become glaringly obvious some of you don't understand the severity of the things you say. For example, "I was telling him to kool yourself"; " I misspelt keys"; "My cat jumped on my keyboard and wrote it". That is NO excuse, heck, there is NO EXCUSE to tell someone to kill themselves, and its pathetic that you would say such a thing in chat and then try and weasel your way out of it with idiotic excuses. I don't think some of you understand the depth of what you say, the effect it has on people. Its merely words you say, but words hurt. Telling someone to kill themselves, you're bullying and harassing a PERSON. A LIVING and BREATHING person, for all you know this could be the kid down the street who you see on the way to the bus stop.
You think you're protected by a screen, which in some aspects is true. The internet is a dangerous place. But I bet, a majority of you wouldn't even dare to say such things irl. You're in a shop, there's a young boy browsing the food isle, would you walk up to him and tell him to kill himself? I'd sure hope not. If you did I wouldn't doubt for a second that you had severe consequences. Oh, and that player you told to kill himself? Because he killed you because you lagged? He's seriously considering it. His family recently passed away and he doesn't know what to live for. You told him to "drink bleach". If this boy does that, you're responsible for the death of a child. Someone who had so much to live for, so many things to learn, to enjoy a life. But it all ended, his life ended, because you told him to kill himself, because you were salty OVER A GAME. This is one more angel, gone to heaven all because you got mad. Some people may understand where I'm coming from, I've had someone close to me commit suicide. They weren't the only one, many people across the world commit suicide each day. It not only stops the life of that friend you loved, but the people who loved them suffer as well. Their brother, sister, daughter, best friends. It takes such a long time to move on from such events, to accept it. These players, behind this screen are humans too. They have lives, people who love them and don't deserve /no one deserves/ to have someone to tell them to kill themselves, to end their life. Also, you players who joke about suicide, "brb going to kill myself" etc. It's obvious you don't understand the severity of those words. What I'm trying to say in this post, is please, please, please, think before you open your mouth. If it be on badlion, another game or irl. It could save someones life.

I'd like to also thank you, seeing as you've read this whole post. And I hope that you understand what I'm trying to convey and will think before acting.
If a player on Badlion ever tells you to kill yourself, or you see a player committing this offense, please screenshot it and make a forum post here or report it to a staff member immediately.
If you suffer from suicidal or depression related thoughts and cannot control the thoughts, I urge you to call a help line or tell someone around you. Helplines are open 24/7 and are there to help YOU.

Well said, Anther. I 100% agree with everything you've pointed out. I am seeing this too often and it's unacceptable behaviour. People need to grow up and use self control so these statements aren't said.

If you find yourself getting mad or frustrated, it's time for you to jump off your computer and take a 10min break. Cool down. Have some water. Go outside and take a breather. Don't let yourself get into a regrettable situation.

I get told death threats in and out of a block game. So many people ingame have told me to kill myself, but I have ignored them. Outside, at school I occasionally get told to jump off a cliff, or take a long walk off a short pier. No, I ignore them. I am glad I am 12, I am glad that I am not old enough to actually feel more worse emotions, and I am glad I have an active, fun and awesome life. If anyone here gets told a death threat, Ignore it. You have so much to live for.

If you are someone who is a toxic little shit and tell someone to kill themselves, that is wrong. You are a cruel, salty and unwelcome player. I am just glad Badlion takes this so seriously.

This thread is perfect. A couple words can impact someone's whole life. Millions of people go through depression and have suicidal thoughts, and we should be helping out one another. I'm sure if you had a sibling go through this you'd go to your full extent just to stop them.
Also, to the people that feel like this, message me or any other staff member, we'll be more than happy to try and help you out. I've already helped a couple players out and will continue to do so.

Great post, Anther. But I think that we should have a rule board when you first log in to Badlion as some people don't know that the forums exist. So basically when you join the server, the first thing you see is a rule board, and the first rule the players see will be "NO SUICIDE ENCOURAGEMENT" or something like that.

So you feel the need to mention that it's a "block game" you're talking about multiple times… but at the same time you're creating a thread with a total of 716 words and 3827 characters.
And in my honest opinion, anyone that gets upset about being insulted over the internet (or how you would call it, "block game") is stupid enough to not realize that these people don't know you irl , thus they can't judge you in any way.

I was one point this close to doing this myself to be completely honest and seeing people tell others that in chat is sickening and it only makes you feel worse if you're in those shoes.

This was pretty deep… There's nothing I don't agree on in this thread. Good job, Anther for making this and hopefully we can spread this across Badlion so death threats become a thing of the past.
