Hey everybody,So about a week ago or two I finally reached an elo of 1500, but unfortunately this didn't last so long - yes this topic is relevant to elo draining . This week has been very difficult for me to try and hold my place as I kept getting drained by 2000, 1600, 1700 and mainly 1800s. So I thought about a elo matching system and the way it functions would be once a user joins a ranked queue Badlion automatically picks up their elo and finds someone that they could fight who's elo would range from somewhere around their's. (I'm trying to make this as non complex as possible to explain so here's an example)
A user with an elo of 1300 join the ranked build uhc queue (as we all know, build uhc is Badlion's most popular kit) now let's say a 1700 joins the queue, they'd both have to 1v1 each other and more than likely the 1700 would win. With the ranked elo matching system two people with the same elo could 1v1 each other therefore giving both players an equal chance.
Note: When I say the same I don't mean the exact elo.
In the past week or two my elo has decreased substantially due to me having an unfair chance; infact it decreased such more that I'm on the on the edge of getting a terrible 1000 elo. The major lag issue doesn't bother me at all infact I thought I would be able to benefit from it but it seems like the other way around.
Sorry for the ranting just decided to get my suggestion across to you players. :P

@Hong Where did I ever say I wanted to get rid of the elo system? There's a difference between a slight change and getting rid of something.Posted on 08 November 2015 - 09:26 AM
@DareDevil_v2 And think about the lower elo'd people who would have no chance against them?Posted on 08 November 2015 - 09:52 AM

It's a good practice to go against people who are better than you, don't cry because you lost elo and think about it as another step to become a good pvper

You're not expanding your skill when you get these 1700's with op strafes and really good bow skills.Posted on 08 November 2015 - 09:55 AM
I don't find that much 1700s that has an OP strafe, do you rod?Posted on 08 November 2015 - 09:55 AM
I think a good argument could probably be made for the cse of a matching systemPosted on 08 November 2015 - 09:57 AM

Maybe if you keep crying about it you won't, however if you actually give your best you'll get better eventually

I'm fine with this kind of matching system, but think about the 2400s that will have to wait 15 minutes just for one match.Posted on 08 November 2015 - 09:58 AM
@DWlB You're suggesting tryharding? You're basing your post off what you do - maybe some people don't want to tryhard.Posted on 08 November 2015 - 10:02 AM
@Hong Good point, however I stated in the suggestion that it doesn't need to be the exact same elo, if a 2400 is in queue then he could v a 1900 or 1800 I'm sure it would still end up pretty close.Posted on 08 November 2015 - 10:02 AM
@Dare_Devilv2 More than likely, the 2000 was AFK or the 1400 was using a hack client.Posted on 08 November 2015 - 10:35 AM

Then don't come to the forums crying about losing elo if you're not giving your best lol
