A New UHC Player That Needs Tips and Tricks

Hello, my name is Xeroblade and I'm the type of guy that has never touch the Singleplayer mode on Minecraft. I've been watching Huahwi on YouTube since forever now and I can only grasp the PvP concept for this game, like how to make a sword, FnS, and etc. I've only played on the MSCG servers and I find that it's time to try something new. So what I'm asking for is some tips and tricks to help me out on UHC. Thank you!

Dont waste time getting apples, grab more later if nessecary. Get a book before you cave

Generally I will get a half stack of wood and go down to cave, then come up with full iron and collect the apples, then go find cows and sugar cane if I don't have it already, then go Cavjng for enchants and healing, generally this happens in the first 15 mins, sometimes a bit longer

If strength pots are ever on, Rush the nether in full iron ASAP and get pots, if you do that and then cave for some diamond armor it should be a pretty simple win. (Unless other people got strength pots also)
