Hey, I'm freerq and I had a pretty cool idea about ranks in my opinion..First of all, in case you don't know. CS:GO has ranks, like gold nova 3, master guardian 1, silver 3 etc etc etc.. This is all based on elo. There's just not a way to show that number, but there's actually a number in CS:GO that determines your rank.
I think making ranks for Badlion arena PvP would be really nice.
As in 1400-1500 is a certain rank and also 1800-1900, or 2200-2300, which all have names, which will show how good you are.
These names will be shown with logo's on the stats on the website and the name or abbrevation of the name of the rank based on your global elo should be shown ingame next to your name, just like [D] [D+] or [Lion] is shown right now..
And alright, I know what you're gonna say, it'll be annoying to see all those ranks next to everyone's name, and I do have a solution: A option in the settings menu which allows to disable this, I don't know wether this is possible or not to code, but I'm pretty sure the awesome badlion devs can :)

I think the server should name the ranks themselves, but I had some idea's (you may say if you don't like it xD)
up to 1000: Bronze I
1000-1100: Bronze II
1100-1200: Bronze III
1200-1300: Bronze IV
1300-1400: Bronze V
1400-1500: Silver I
1500-1600: Silver II
1600-1700: Silver III
1700-1800: Silver IV
1800-1900: Silver V
1900-2000: Gold I
2000-2100: Gold II
2100-2200: Gold III
2200-2300: Gold IV
2300-2400: Gold V
2400-2500: Master I
more than 2500: Master II

People said the elo gaps were too big, so:
0-1100: bronze I
1100-1400: bronze II
1400-1600: silver I
1600-1800: Silver II
1800-2000: Gold I
2000-2100: Gold II
2100-2200: Master I
2200-2300: Master II
2300-2400: Elite I
2400-2500: Elite II
2500+ Legend
I still think the server should make this themselves, I first just posted this with only the idea of the ranks, not the exact numbers. But here you have just a little idea, mostly made by the people in the reply section. I still think you should start as silver, if you're bad, you'll drain to the bronze ranks and if you're good.. you'll get the higher ranks :) Good idea? (Note: This is just an idea, don't say you don't like the whole idea, just because of this xD)

I think the numbers are a bit too much, how about0-1599 Bronze
1600-1799 Silver
1800-2099 Gold
2100-2399 Master
2400+ Legend
If 1400's got the silver rank, it would be almost impossible to get bronze unless you lost in every single ladder.
Also, what if every time you ranked up fireworks go off around you in spawn and it sends a message to your chat only that says something like "Congratulations! You've ranked up to *new rank*"

i like the idea but i dont think someones gnna get 2.5k global , so i think you should do it on there highest ladder or there top 3 ladders and average itetc: top 3 ladders : build:2k uhc:2k kohi:2k so my average would be 2000.
something along them lines .
1+ for the whole ranking thing but not the global thing

I already mentioned that the ranks should be made by the server, but I quite like your idea :) Also that firework idea is really good. I think everyone needs some kind of rank though. What about "newby" or "starter" for everything under 1400 or 1300 ish ?

I don't know man xD and it's not only for global, the rank said in chat will be your global rank (there are already people with 2k global elo.. soooo xD
