It's an interesting idea, but I don't think these sorts of tiers would work as well for us.First of all, not only do we have a ranked population multiple orders of magnitude less than LoL or DoTA, but our rankings are split up into a dozen or so different ladders. Those games have one main ladder (I think they do, I don't play them).
I feel that our current raw ELO ratings do a pretty good job of showing you someones skill in a certain ladder.

I kind of think the different ranks would be annoying and a waste of time… However I think if you make it to top 10 of any ladder, you are given a tag. For example "#6 Iron Tyguy95", etc. Basically the same as the old tournaments, "2nd UHC Camdog" except that it is for ELO leaderboards, and if u are top ten in more than one ladder, you can choose which tag you would like to use.
