So lately I've seen a lot of bitching about how Badlion has changed so much. I've seen a lot of total and utter ignorance to the topic, and I feel the need to explain a few facts which seem to easily pass peoples mind. So this is most likely a waste of time, but I'm going to address a few of these things I keep commonly seeing on the forums and ingame. Remind you yes I am retired staff, but I'm not affiliated with Badlion anymore in anyway past that.THERE'S SO MANY MORE HACKERS NOW THEN THERE USE TO BE!
Facts:
-There's more players on Badlion then there use to be.
-There's more hacked clients for Minecraft then there use to be.
-This is the internet, people will attempt to do anything to become superior.
-The amount of hackers banned by an automated system alone is in the 6 digit number, in the past GCheat didn't even exist.
Conclusion: There's a good chance you had a little too much salt on your breakfast this morning and you're actually just fighting players better than you.
THERE'S SO MUCH LAG AND BADLION DOES NOTHING TO FIX IT
Facts:
-Badlion has switched hosts and even broken contracts and had to pay for servers no longer being hosted to attempt to fix lag.
-In the past 2 weeks there has been 3 posts in the announcements informing players about the lag situation and how a resolution is being looked into.
-Badlion is still able to keep a 5k+ player server up and running and if the lag was absolutely unbearable I can assure you the majority of the playerbase would log off.
Conclusion: Yes there's lag going around, but Badlion definitely is looking into a solution.
BADLION ADMINS ARE SO DISRESPECTFUL AND REMOVE RANKS BLAH BLAH BLAH
Facts:
-Not everyone in life is nice
-The Famous rank is a mutual deal between the server and the player. The server helps the player grow, and the player helps the server grow. If the player affects the server negatively of course the rank will be removed.
-A lot of people with Famous ranks grew entirely and only due to Badlion
-Badlion isn't a church group, if you get offended by the word fuck you might need to remove yourself from the internet.
Conclusion: Don't be a dumbass
BADLION ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY
Facts:
-Most servers with a playerbase similar to Badlion's have much more expensive ranks.
-Staff are volunteers
-It's a huge fucking server and cost quite a bit to keep running.
-The leading Devs/Owners have spent countless hours and schooling to get the experience they have, yes they deserve more then minimum wage.
Conclusion: I was always raised that discussing financials was disrespectful. Just enjoy the server provided to you and quit your bitching.
THE VINE MAP IS TERRIBLE FOR PVP
Facts:
-It's fucking awful
Conclusion: It better get removed.
