Recently GrapeAppleSauce uploaded a video titled "Introducing Team Flux" which was a video based around a MC competitive team. This is the first step in this teams attempt at making minecraft pvp and competitive game such as many different e-sports e.g CS:GO, League of Legends, Dota 2 etc. I myself are very supportive of this movement as I am very passionate for MC PvP even though I may not be the best I believe it would be very entertaining and good to see the talent in the community which may not be famous for twitch, or youtube. There is also another thread on the forums called ranks based on elo which could really help with determining players being allowed to compete competitively.

I am talking about this on the bad lion forums because I think it is one of the best severs for PvP around and I feel like it could be very helpful for bad lion to help start this movement, by starting even more competitive tournaments for competitive teams in the future of coarse. I hope
this starts a lot of talk because talk can lead to inspiration for more people to start teams and possibly lead to competitive minecraft PvP tournaments or leagues for PvP kits such as mcsg, build UHC or even Kohi for a different area of MC PvP. But this is only my opinion and I hope others can respect it, I would also recommend checking out the video uploaded by GrapeAppleSauce titled "Introducing Team Flux". Clans exist on here, they are the equivalent to teams. Not much else badlion can really do other than host team tournaments personally

oc.tc is probably the closest a server will get to Minecraft E-sports. I think Badlion would be able to do something similar to Overcast Network, however, in terms of leagues and especially tournaments. I'm not 100% sure, but last time I played a Badlion tournament, it was all done manually. Maybe our awesome devs could code a plugin for partially automated tournaments? And just recruit a larger tournament staff, so there could be like weekly tournaments, which would also help with a league. Also add gamemodes like CTF to Badlion, which would be a great opportunity for more tournaments and leagues. Just some thoughts ^_^

Yeah I see what your talking about but my idea is that there could be a whitelisted server for these clans or teams where each team has there 5 best members play a knock out tournament against other teams with a certain kit where each game is a best of 7 and you progress until the final knocking out different teams in the process. Just an idea. But it is understandable what you are taklking about.

Can't say it's close when almost everyone is cheating in the tournaments. Doesn't seem competitive to me. (and this comes from someone who has won 2 and finished several times in the top 4 on there)

Anyways I'm already working with this group behind the scenes and you'll be seeing clans getting some new toys and gamemodes here soon.

Maybe competitive is the wrong word, but I really like their tournaments and league ideas.

@Archybot maybe u should make a dedicated server just for team battle, and have game modes like ctf and tdm or even clan sg were we can choose like 5 people and have a 5v5

Yeah Overcast is very close to that, Now that they have a new dev i hear they will be making new things..

But then again 1/4 of the server macros there way to the wool rooms or monuments lol
