This idea has been in my mind for a long time. I think it's a good time to suggest it with the new talk about competitive minecraft pvp. I'm introducing something similar to ocn. All successful things on badlion are pretty original. Arena/Pot PvP is something really not seen elsewhere. UHCs are successful due to that badlion hosts uhcs larger then on any other server. Look where sg and skywars are, two unoriginal servers. People like the original gamemodes(uhcs existed, but were changed) on badlion. This is not a new idea but one talked about by @panda_chips . Please correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, onto the point. Badlion represents the uhc community with arena and uhcs, the sg community with sg and arena, and the dead soup community with dead soup(ffa, area, all that), and the pot community in arena*cough* under-represented *cough*. There is another (very nice and sincere)community, OCN. Many people or at least 1(https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/81032) say OCN is the closest thing to this idea of Competitive PvP. Well, why don't we bring OCN to badlion. I'm not talking about totally copying it, but about a game that would be around the same basis, but A LOT BIGGER(similare to what Badlion did with UHCs)(side note: I actually came up with this idea before I knew about OCN). Here's the idea:There would be anywhere from 10-30 different teams of 10-30(depending on the particular game) competing against eachother. They play inside a dome, each team starting at a spawnpoint/platform. In the middle of the map there would be a lever, the winner is the team who pulls the lever, simple right? Wrong. Surrounding the lever is many layers of obsidian and other materials that you and other teams will have to break. Your team will pvp against the other teams. Every team would get full iron, a stone sword(or iron)a rod, a bow and 10 arrows, and 1 gapple. Getting a kill will bring your heart to 7 hearts if you are missing 3.5 hearts or more, and to 10 if you have 7 hearts are more. When you die, you wait 5 seconds to respawn. There will be different maps(Like in sg) with different sizes, and amounts of cover. There will also be different gamemodes.
There will be an option to customize your inventory the way you like it(like in arena) so you don't have to move your rod and bow everytime you respawn.
There will be a host makes sure people follow rules(whatever they may be).
Possible Gamemodes(just like there's horesless, cutclean, ect. in uhcs):
Archer: Infinity, pwr 1 bow instead of normal
Ping: Sharpness V diamond sword, Strength II(or the highest number you can get)
Infinity Rod: 1 durability Rod instead
Tank: Full Diamond
Speed 1: Everyone gets speed 1
Speed 2: Everyone gets speed 2
Kohi: Instead of normal kit, u get your kohi kit
Defender: There is one person defending middle, part of no team with prot 2 diamond and an instant re-spawn. The players vote for the defender in pre-game.
UHC: No natural regen, 3 gapples
Regen: Regen II the whole game
De-Buff: A wood sword, full diamond, AND A WHOLE LOT OF DEBUFFS
Troll: Mods fly around trying to kill everybody
There can be an elo system like -1 points for every death, +5 for every kill, and +300 for every win. It may make tryhards to the community can vote on that.
