So are toggle sprint and w-tapping pretty much necassary to compete with the best? Do you need to know how to do them?Posted on 17 November 2015 - 09:13 PM
lol probably, aka why im not the bestPosted on 18 November 2015 - 04:17 AM
W tap isn't necessary either, as long as you know how to use minecraft's knockback to your advantage.Posted on 18 November 2015 - 07:38 AM

Toggle sprint is actually extremely advantageous if you've learned to click at high cps effectively in pvpPosted on 18 November 2015 - 12:21 PM

I spam my sprint key, works really nice on 1.8 :)Posted on 18 November 2015 - 01:08 PM
Both are useless, I just keep my sprint key pushed down all the time. (LShift)Posted on 18 November 2015 - 05:21 PM

I love how people who say it is useless are never good with a swordAlso, most of the time it's the same people that says minecraft is a ping based game and sword takes no skill

Wtapping is basically slapping the heck out of your w key. Somehow, it gets you combos and reduces your kb, while raising your opponents.
Wtapping causes you to repeatedly reset your sprint meaning while you're wtapping, you still sort of sprint while getting kbed. As for the opponent taking more kb, you're sort of moving under, thus raising their vertical kb.

Basically when your start to sprint, the game code states that you give more knockback to entities and receive less knockback in opposite direction you're sprinting. So w tapping (resetting your sprint and starting to sprint again when holding the sprint button) should be done right before you hit the player since you want to get the knockback on them. W spamming can be effective, but you can't really time your sprint reset with this when you want to deal knockback to the player, so I usually don't use it.
