Funny how you put the same title as someone did before for SG smh @*deleted-81096Posted on 23 December 2015 - 01:01 PM
I think that MCSG went to shit because it changed to 1.8 for like 6 months. I have seen comments on Huahwi's video right before he left this year saying "1.7 is back, they're calling you"Last edited on 27 December 2015 - 09:36 AM by 7oel
Imo SG IS dying because lack of maps. We cling onto the old SG4, Par 72, Alaskan Village and Zone 85 etc. These maps are so well known and so overplayed that it is becoming stale and boring. We have maps that are never ever played. Jurassic world is an excellent example, I have never played this map, I don't have an inkling what it looks like. It could and probably is a good map. That if it had been added 2 years ago in the Peak of SG, it could be a classic and just as played as SG4.A drastic solution to this is to remove all old maps instead of continuously patching re-tiering and doing things to these maps. My personal opinion to fix this would be to have occasionally servers have just 1 map whether you like it or not. Preferably a non popular one.
Another idea is to increase rewards for making a map, I don't see any credit to the map maker whatsoever, maybe a special rank? I don't know, because the rate at which new maps are being made is horrible.
We are also sticking to the traditional Tier chest system, which creates chest routes, which creates a extreme stack and doesn't help new players. New players will go into dm with gold /chain armor, and then they see a full iron guy with diamond sword. It is becoming less about pvp and more about who knows the map better, not only that but some chest routes are so obscure it isn't even possible to find them with exploration. A server that fixes this is mine plex. If badlion could sort of do something like that but better it could revive SG

If I am not mistaken, I believe there will be more maps in the upcoming SG 2.0
If you have a map you want in SG 2.0, go here https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/86105

But will that stop people from voting SG4/Par 72?

I have to say I do really like par and valleyside and other old maps and even if people say that it isn't fair for the noobs with chain, that's part of the game like not always being full dia in UHC, they don't change it so its triple ores and USC, it's just part of the game you need to get used to playing like it

It hasn't been out for 8 years lol.
I think the first SG/HG server came out just before 1.0 in late 2011/early 2012 so.

I don't think it's dying. I think MCGamer is, but I think that Badlion SG is growing, especially with clans becoming more and more popular with the upcoming 5v5 tourney.Posted on 15 January 2016 - 08:11 PM

Minecraft as a game is dying, and SG has been dying for a while now. Less and less servers are able to operate with an SG-oriented style (mcsg is pretty much the only semi-major server with SG as their main game, excluding hive as a minigames server). Not to mention, MCSG has pretty much gone to shit.

SG has been around a LONG time, every minecraft multiplayer player has heard of it. People may be getting sick of it, it does get very repetitive.Posted on 17 January 2016 - 04:52 AM
SG has barely changed for the past two years, UHC is constantly getting new gamemodes which are keeping it alive. We need to make a huge change if we want to keep the gamemode alive (talking about SG now). Adding scenarios to SG would be cool, I've suggested some IMO cool ideas which could work.
