Hi,I am writing this to discuss some of my issues with PotPvP. Primarily I will be discussing lag issues. I have always been a strong supporter of badlion and their innovative ideas, it's a truly amazing server and really deserves to grow exponentially. However, I have been experiencing some very severe lag problems and have recorded what a regular match is like for me at the moment. I am a skilled pvp'er and my play style is primarily focused around using the rod. Every second rod for me if I spam it doesn't fire, this is hands down THE most frustrating thing for me. However, let's just say I do land a fishing rod on a player AND the first it and then proceed to jitter click while strafing I simply CANNOT combo. Is this a latency issue on my end or on the servers end? I am not referring to the regular lag spikes on the server as this is a problem that has been going on for near a month and has not been dealt with yet but it is a KNOWN issue. I am inclined to say that the lag I am experiencing is not on my end, I get exactly 35 ping to both badlion and MCSG but yet the hit detection feels COMPLETELY different.
Anyway, that was a bit of a rant I will admit, let me discuss another problem. I have recently noticed that badlion have appealed for developer employees. What is the purpose of this? I am aware it is to lighten the load, but if I am not mistaken a DEVELOPER creates new things and improves existing things using code? I think I speak on behalf of the community here when I say that all we want at this point is a STABLE server, well, at least the majority - so would this money not be better invested into solving the issue? All I want to be able to do is to be able to play on this server, and enjoy it! Hell, people pay for donator regularly just to play in the ranked queue's!
I mean, day after day, I see missed opportunities for badlion. I see famous players logging on to the server and leaving due to the ghastly lag! I mean, I saw PrivateFearless log on to the server the other day but then left due to the lag, that is a missed upload for badlion and potential publicity. Another example is Mentally, many people are being forced on to other platforms to play UHC, such as reddit.
All I am saying is, Badlion is getting a bit of a negative name for itself and is starting to become renowned for being laggy and I have been seeing less and less players in the UHC's on a daily basis. Just some food for thought.
Sorry for the ranty style to this post and the fact that it wasn't particularly well written, I am just blurting my opinions at this point.
What do you guys think?

Today, I was pvping better than I have before. I don't know why. The lag seemed to have calmed down for a bit (possibly just me having gotten use to it). I haven't had any trouble with the rod, so I can't empathise with you on that issue.Yes, there are still big random lag spikes. Yes, I understand what you're saying and it's frustrating for everyone in involved (owners, admins, staff and players). However, I wouldn't say Badlion is getting a negative image because they're still peaking players and players are still sticking around, just because of their awesome gamemodes and concepts that we all think are the best quality in the MC PVP community (mainly UHC and Arena PVP).
All we can do is be patient. Check their twitter, announcement and developer log pages and wait for news. The owners are working their butts off on this issue and it's their no 1 priority. I think the hiring developer thing is a long term plan to get more game modes developed and help develop things like S11 of Arena pvp. There's a thread on it in the announcement section of the forums. That'll give you a better idea of why.
Everyone feels the same pain as you and all we can do is wait and hope for the best. That's the only advice I can give you really.

@CamsArcade I honestly dont get it you get drained so much and i gain 50 global elo to 1770 Global in 2 days (thats about 550 elo)Tbh you have learn to play with it and you wont even losse cause of it that much.
I mabye lose every 20 matches cause of the lag

i lost 1 because of lag.
I really dont get drained by it.
