I know people are trying to change Badlion SG to elo or point-based due to the fact that the current system doesn't show skill. Making sg score or elo based would certainly show people's skill better, but I don't want to see this change happen(I saw that sg 2.0 is coming out soon). I play on both mcgamer and badlion sg. I like both, mcgamer being a competitive point-based sg, badlion sg being kind of chill for me. I like to tryhard per-say on mcsg because I know if I die I will lose points. With badlion, I can just chill because I know that dying won't affect my stats. I can just put on a YT video in the background and just chill. I like winning and getting kills, but I don't try really hard to make every game a win because my stats won't be affected if I die. Badlion SG is my place to chill and have fun. I think that adding points would just ruin the experience. I know there are advantages to changing the system, but I feel that SG would be better off without elo. I don't really care about a stat reset.Thank you for reading(It's a sloppy thread. I'm stuck in my room hiding from my relatives on Thanksgiving :P)

What if it was the other way around? People went on MCGamer to go chill and play , but actually wanted to play a competitive SG without hackers. The ELO system shows more skill in my opinion and i would love to have it back instead of this stupid ''Hidden MMR''Posted on 27 November 2015 - 03:28 PM
There actually is a hidden rating system that we don't showPosted on 27 November 2015 - 05:21 PM

Will you be showing it for SG 2.0 leaderboards?

what if "hidden mmr" is the elo system and you just can't see it? does it make a difference? no.
if that's not already was it is, why not just change it to that. i really dislike the idea of sg being exclusively ranked, i prefer hidden ratings.

@Archybot This has been a pretty interesting problem ever since we came out with SG and when we initially had ranked and unranked SG. Why not allow the players to choose to show their SG ratings if they wish to? If they choose to show their rating, their name will be on the leaderboards. If they do not, then their name won't be on the leaderboards.Feedback please!

i'd be fine with that
if you had your rating visible would your negative stats also show up? (K/D, Deaths)

Are ratings still going to be saved, just not shown if you choose to keep your rating hidden?

@SmellyPenguin I would actually love the option of choosing whether to show that rating. It would also be kind of cool if there were 2 leaderboards, one showing people who chose to show the hidden rating, and one of people who chose not to.Posted on 27 December 2015 - 02:22 PM

The whole point of choosing not to show your rating is so that it isn't on the leaderboards.

I'm not talking about stats, I'm talking about the hidden rating here so the answer would be no.

There is a hidden MMR. I was thinking about just giving ranks instead of showing the ratingPosted on 29 December 2015 - 09:44 AM
