Why isnt it allowed on Badlion? Im slowly learning how to do it on other servers, cant GCheat just be modified to not ban butterfly clickers? It should only ban cheateurs :)Posted on 28 November 2015 - 02:44 PM

Well that's what im trying to provide a counter argument for, it shouldn't be illegitimate if there are no macros or related

This is borderline confidential information. @MasterGberry for your answer because I'm not sure what I'm allowed to share.

There are extra illegitimate click packets sent in without any real clicks to warrant them. It's a mouse bug and it provides an unfair advantage, so of course it's illegal.

But what im TRYING to say is that anyone can smash their left click with two fingers and get banned, and also it isn't necessarily CHEATING, as the player hasn't got any unfair client modifications, and as for the mouse bug, ALL mice can register the clicks, so everyone would be on the same playing field.

And I am pretty sure other networks apply the same sort of rule.

If it's against the rules, it's cheating therefore it is banning cheaters.
Cheating definition -

Wow, somebody made this thread before me :D. I would like to address a couple of claims here.Hivlik wrote
@Hivlik
Anybody and everybody can do it, and just because it's easier to do on one mouse doesn't mean that you should ban it. (jitter clicking is easier on a lot of mice too.) Furthermore, it's something that's built into every mouse. It doesn't really give you an unfair advantage, because not everybody can do it. It took me months to get to 15 cps, and months more to get to 20. Butterfly clicking isn't something that you can magically start doing and get 20 cps with. (in short, you have to practice in order to get the 'double click' effect.)

This thread is sort of a discussion about the rule against butterfly clicking.

According to prplz, the creator of antiskid, (which along with GCheat false banned me) unbanned me after I explained my situation to him. He said that the check that banned me was a double click macro check, and im 99.9% sure it's the same check as on GCheat. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I just feel like instead of banning something that is really legit and is looked upon as legit in the community (look at: Cellsaver, TewChaynz, Saucey. All well known youtubers with 6k + subs), rather change GCheat to stop false banning. Don't get me wrong, I love GCheat, but when you have an issue, I don't think it's right to just ban whatever is the issue rather than fixing the underlying problem.
Here is my video explaining how I got banned with proof.
With any luck, you guys will see that banning butterfly clicking just because you don't want to change the checks is wrong, and maybe fix it.
@Badware with any constructive criticism please :)

According to what? According to who? You're making a claim here that you can't prove.

According to many of the people that I have taught how to butterfly click, and people who learned how to do it and made videos about it on youtube. If you need proof look up how to butterfly click.
Every mouse can do it because I've been about to do it on every mouse I own. Well except for this one mouse called a stealth, but that's because it's a touch mouse.
:)
EDIT: If you're going to make the argument that half of the kohi staff made when I appealed my bans- just because you can't do it as soon as you learn what it is, doesn't mean it's impossible. You have to PRACTICE before actually being able to do it.

i think the main problem here is that if the illegitimate clicks set off by butterfly clicking was made legal, autoclickers would be able to replicate the click pattern.Posted on 29 November 2015 - 11:27 AM

You're absolutely right, it's just I wish that I wasn't being punished for what cheaters do.
Hey, if GBerry was able to detect smooth-aimbot and triggerbot, maybe he can detect autoclickers in a separate way?

@Badware Glad you posted here ;D
Anyway, as Badware was saying, there are no external modifications involved in butterfly clicking, so GCheat could just be modified to not ban Butterfly clickers

Well look at it like this @HalfCreeper
Anybody CAN butterfly click. All you need to do is practice. You might see it as an unfair advantage, but I see it as an unfair advantage to end someone's UHC game by blowing them up when they are helpless to stop it (To anyone that doesn't know what i'm talking about he made a montage of himself BedBombing people in the nether).
As for the mice, go try butterfly clicking on any clickable mouse and see if you don't get more CPS registered than you are clicking. Its a thing on pretty much every mouse.
Tl;dr
A person using the Butterfly click method ISNT using an external source to modify their clicks. They are producing the CPS by themselves. As for the 'bug', pretty much all mice can be used to butterfly click. It therefore ISNT an unfair advantage, and also a side note, I see other servers are allowing Butterfly clicking, why can't Badlion? (Not hating on the server or staff here)
:–)

I believe it is easier said than done, devs can also reverse engineer a triggerbot that works like butterfly clicking to bypass. More cons than pros, imo its better to keep it disallowed.

Never tried, but seriously doubt it - but why use a trackpad when you can buy a mouse for like 3$? Unless you're doing it for fun, like that one guy on a mac lul
