Normal is defined through opinions. With that said is Discrimination in any way normal? No, it isn't okay, we've established that, but it exist, and it's used in daily language by most. When people discriminate through chat, are they actually discriminating? Do you feel you can't play Minecraft any differently because you've been called a bad word? Do you have to wait in the back of the queue of ranked games because you're gay or black? No. You're not going to accomplish much by trying to preach all this politically correct crap and try get a huge amount of the player base banned. There's a punishment system in place and it works just fine. If perma bans are issued for this there's just gonna be a bullshit amount of reports thrown on the forums of butt hurt people who can't get someone banned for cheating so they catch them at their worse times and report them for saying "fag". I now fully understand that there's people who just can't handle the internet, and take offense easily to anything said. So for people like you I've created a list of more appropriate games.

This one is my personal favorite in this list, it's a rather fun game, and best of all there's no chatting what so ever, so I never get offended! However there are bombs in this game, so they might be referring to terrorist, so actually Ima take this game off my list.

Now this game is very strict on chat privileges. There's hundreds of filters in place so nobody can ever get offended, and if this filter is managed to be bypassed you get a 10 year mute, this game almost seems perfect for you. However, there's witch circles, and witch craft goes against my religion, therefor I'm going to team up with the church and suggest that they turn the pentagrams in the game into squares so nobody gets offended such as myself.

Now, is it immature for me to give such a response to this thread? Yes it fucking is, but the fact that you're continuing to argue throughout this thread is ridiculous. There's a punishment system in place, it works. Players are not going to get permanently banned for saying something in chat.

Well by your logic any form of discrimination should be punished.

I am no longer allowed to classify people by race. I am no longer allowed to classify people by their country. I can't classify people by the server they play on. I am no longer allowed to separate people into any form of groupings. There is the possibility that a certain group of people might be targeted of offended.

Let me explain what discrimination actually is:

This is discrimination. Discrimination is where people are separated and not allowed to do certain things based on standards such as the color of their skin. We do not discriminate here. Nor is someone making a racist remark discriminating. It is simply someone running their mouth off.

This thread is already wrongly named. Anyways to answer your question no, the use of a derogatory term (just because it relates to race) is not enough to warranty a permanent punishment.
