i'd like to address 2 issues i've seen in season 11.ELO
I have been told there is a new ELO system where you lose WAY more than you gain, which is pissing me off a lot. i used to be 1900buhc elo last season, but now i can barely make 1600.
PvP
i have also been told there is a new ncp, i don't know if this is true, but if it is, it's really annoying. PvP feels really awkward, and whenever i'm running away, people seem to be able to hit me 4-6 times when they are like 6 blocks behind me, and it's very annoying

I would agree but it's not NCP they use, it's GCheat @SmellyPenguinPosted on 13 December 2015 - 02:56 PM
If you lose more than you gain, then if you kill someone, they lose more too? Making it as easy to get elo? Or maybe its just the same, but you're losing a lot more?Posted on 13 December 2015 - 03:05 PM
you literally can't lose more than you gain lmao, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. When you gain, somebody else loses the same amount, and when you lose, somebody else gains the same amount. That's the point of the elo system. As far as I know, it's the same as last season, isn't it?Posted on 13 December 2015 - 06:52 PM
The Elo system is the exact same, nothing changed. Also we'll be looking into the knockback issues.Posted on 13 December 2015 - 07:02 PM

I really do not understand why anyone thinks the ELO system has changed. It's identical to the previous seasons.
Now to the "I used to be 1900 buhc elo last season, but now I can barely make 1600" there's a reason for this.
It's ELO inflation essentially.
At the end of last season I was 2000-2100 elo, but right now I know I wouldn't be able to achieve that because even the best players are barely over 2000. You're bound to run into very good players who are just starting out and are anything from 1400-1700 and will drain you. Just wait for everyone to have played for a while and your elo will slowly start to increase until you're back to what you was last season.
I don't even want to argue about the PvP. Personally I think the server is smoothest it's ever been since I've been playing (except for the TPS lag spikes ofc) the kb is a little odd, but they're working on it. If you're good enough you can adapt to the knockback.
