In my opinion, yes. There is a cooldown for hits, so spamclicking is useless. I tried out a snapshot and it was horrible.What are your opinions?
What do you expect from 1.9?

I think it is a great update. It will change the PvP mechanics a lot though, which will be kinda weird for the first months ofc. It will be a bit more challenging and maybe more skill-based?We'll just get used to it + we will most likely find new tricks and glitches to abuse anyways :D We've done this for years, and, considering what the current pvp community has become *sigh*, we will do the same in the future.
Give it a shot ;)

I don't know… I like the fact that they are trying to improve the game. However, I'd still think that what they're making in 1.9 isn't really a pvp update, rather a combat update. I feel pvp will be worse off because of it whereas pve will be much better.Posted on 23 December 2015 - 01:41 PM
in my opinion, i don't think i'll enjoy 1.9 but i can accept it.i've tried the whole 1.9 pvp thing and yeah it's annoying but it's acceptable. it's so tempting to spamclick and when i do it's useless. it completely threw off strafing for me because i'm too busy timing my attacks rather than tryna strafe the player.
but i figured most servers will end up upgrading to 1.9 and eventually i'll have to adapt to the whole "timed attack thing" but for now, i'd much rather stay with 1.7/1.8.

The only reason this server and many more like it exist is because of one thing. Combo. Every player enjoys the unexplainable surge of excitement and adrenaline as you perfectly time your clicks, movement and aim to defeat your foe. Your hand and mouse become one. This has kept the pvp community alive. Whats so exciting about 1.9? Slowly walking at each other and clicking? Minecraft isnt about realism. Its about enjoyment. So far 1.9 hasn't brought that enjoyment to me or many other players.TL;DR 1.9 is shit
