Thoughts on elo?
I've noticed that some people complain about elo gain and loss when I play ranked matches on the server. Some complain that it isn't fair enough, as they lose either too much or too little when losing a match, or gaining to much or to little when they win. What do you guys think?

The elo system shows consistency. If you can't get a high elo, that means you're not consistent. Why change that?

Elo rating system has been around for a while, I'm fully for it, as Hivlik said it shows consistency with your playing

We changed it once and it didn't work out so well.

I think it's fine the way it is. It's not like you lose 30 Elo if you are 1200 and lose to a 1900 because the 1900 is obviously expected to win.

It'd be cool to see a feature added in which the health of the opponent at the end of the match comes into play. For example, a 1200 goes against an 1800 and the 1800 wins with half a heart, then the 1200 could lose even less than currently, stay at the same elo, or even gain some due to a good fight against an apparently much better player.

I've thought about this a few times. Many sites I've seen take into account the scores of games when making their rating changes.

No human is consistent, unless they got something to help them being so consistent.
