Well, they are staff. They have important things to say and important announcements to fill players in on. Maybe it's just better to hear what they have to say.Just an opinion :)

Staff is not allowed to ignore a playrr simply because it prevents us from seeing what the person says, meaning we could be ignoring a potential rule-breaker. If the player is being annoying we have a couple reasons to mute them, there is no real need for us to ignore anyone.
