90% of voters are ignorant towards politics, and most people here just repeat what their parents say. Quite frankly I don't give a fuck who gets elected, cause the world keeps moving on. I'd probably lean republican though so the Obama care gets nulled and I don't have to pay a fine at the end of the year. Besides that idcPosted on 04 January 2016 - 12:06 AM

All these people with parents who have far right views. If you think Trump is right on how he wants to ban Muslims from the us, build a wall on the Mexican border, you seriously need to reconsider. As humans we need to put our resources into trying to create peace and end war, but sadly that is not the case. My country (England) decided to run air strikes in Syria, as they think it will eradicate IS. It's the most stupid idea ever. Look what happened in Iraq. The so called WMDs were not found, and the war furthered to destabilise the country, and caused th upbringing of IS. Why? Because their country was ruined and the people had nowhere to turn. The fact that America and other European contries making a mistake going into Syria with no long term plan to try and defeat IS is stupid. It will just kill civilians and in fact create more IS members. You can't get rid of an ideology by bombing it, it will just encourage it to grow. The poor people in Syria who are constantly getting bombed will think " it's the west bombing is again" and will want to join IS. The way to defeat IS is with a long term plan which will actually get rid of the ideology. Trump remarked that he would hit IS hard which is very worrying because it will create more acts of terrorism in my country, all over Europe and in America. We are making the same mistakes over an over again. IS emerged because of us, and what's to say that the problems in Syria could cause an emergence of another terrorist organisation 10 years on. Are we really going to be any safer then than now? Trump's hate speeches it just going to make this situation worse. Peace is the answer not conflict which is why you shouldn't vote for trumpPosted on 04 January 2016 - 12:01 PM

Our country is called the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or just simply the UK, mps from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland voted(not decided, democratically voted), not just 'England'. If you're going to make a remark on how our country is ran, at least have some sense of national identity before you do so, thanks.

I should have said the UK instead of just England to be honest. Thank you for pointing that outPosted on 04 January 2016 - 12:26 PM

It's next to impossible to stop groups like ISIS without civilian deaths, unlike Western countries, they don't care about civilian life and will use them as a shield. Bombing IS won't do much to them long term, but doing nothing isn't going to help either. Sadly in terms of terrorism there isn't a 'peaceful' solution that will truly solve the problem.
Also the American presidential election just seems to be about choosing the best of a bad bunch.

@Just_Peter You are right and that's sad how they do that. Is thinks were scared of them when they are scared of us because they need bombing shields and if we bomb them this can lead to a cold war

Sad truth is that we are scared of IS or we wouldn't be bombing them and European countries wouldn't be cancelling New Years events because of terrorist threats, plus it won't turn into another Cold War since there has already been a lot of fighting.
